been there done that on the bigger bet that didnt work out. my honest advice: take a day off. better 2 days off. dont even look at the lines.

do something else not related to sports or gambling. then come back with a new outlook

maybe an idea not to post any plays until you've made all your plays for all the units you're willing to wager. that way "chasing" is a less likely possibility as you have your cards shown and all your instincts on the games haev been acted upon. who knows.

i hope ur not indicating that i was chasing with the marlins

i lost 20+ units in a week, and i had 2 straight days of posting a majority of 1 unit plays

the marlins play was one that i spoke with pyro on IM since 11am since we first went over the card, and indicated how much i liked it before any plays had been decided and he agreed all day that it was a minimum 5* play

then i saw ck kid on it who i use as a tool to indicate smart money since that is his main source of handicapping, and that clinched it

anyway, i go over 1 game at a time, as i complete it, i put it in, and typically post it...thats just my style, but am i obviously going to be tweaking things when i come back in a few days - so thanks for all suggestions

You don't need breaks Box. Sure they'd be nice, but I don't doubt that you can get through this without getting lucky. Definitely would be nice to put the bad luck behind you though. I say you get right back on the f*cking horse and get some back today. Big card with plenty of value out there IMO and I don't doubt you can find the right side. Hope to see you winning cash for the Rx again soon.

na wasn't indicating you were chasing, but I'm sure i'd be more inclined to throw more units on a game if I was down early in the day and wanted to get up before the day ended. Actually happened last night with me, FLA was 2 units for me, i was down a bit going into the nightcap and saw u and some others on the Fish so i threw another unit on it. Stupid on my part when I had it pegged at a 2 unit play.

Just figure it's easier for me personally to not fall into a trap like that when I make all my plays at once and post them but i dunno. Wasn't criticizing u at all

on another note, u and pyro have cybersex daily or what?

no harm, no foul

i really do appreciate any suggestions, thats why im on this site...any discussion is good discussion to get better

if i hit 70%, i need to learn how to hit 75%, so until i hit 100%, im open to all suggestions

me and pyro have been discussing games lately - but when its been a stressful day, there is nothing like a little cyber that wont do the trick. he's usually a good sport andhe's down for anything. my favorite is when i tell him i am peeing on him, that really gets him off. call me R

ha. maybe. nobody likes a quitter right?

we'll see. ive definitely had some bad luck, but ive had some horrendous picsk as well, so lets not make this sound like im innocent.

lately, i havent been focusing on baseball. i have been on the road, i havent been able to sit down and watch MLB extra innings games, and really get a feel for the games, and my picks have suffered. i have got caught up in nba playoffs, watched every game buzzer to buzzer and no surprise those are the picks that are doing well. but last night, i really went over that card in bases, saw a play i was in love with, and still couldnt hit.

i have absolutely no doubt i am going to hit for 150+ units this year. i just need to get back on track. thanks for the post.

Wasn't trying to baby you and tell you that you weren't on the wrong side in some cases. Just partially being polite to a capper I respect and partially telling the truth that when you make a few bad plays, the worst thing that can happen is to also hit an unlucky stretch where even the right plays turn bad (e.g., the Mets under play).

I don't want to portray myself as an expert capper, but the above is what happened to me over the last week. I made some stupid plays that I regretted after the fact, and had some really bad luck in games I feel like I should have won. And after Wednesday night I told myself I needed a couple days off. But I realized that that's not always the answer. The biggest thing IMO is just to avoid going on tilt. A lot depends on the person and the circumstances too though. Just my $.02.
