Haven't made any posts in a long time, but usually hold my own come NBA Playoff time. Have been betting a bit on the Playoffs and doing well, so decided to post a strong play today.

4* Houston Rockets + 8 -110

Obviously the story here is Yao being out for the year with the foot injury so the public autmatically assumes that if the Rockets cant win with Yao, how are they going to win without him? That's why they play the games.

Yao's presence the past 2 games has been non existent. He has not been active and he is not being an aggressive scoring option for Houston and they have had the past 2 games to make adjustments without him being a major offensive factor.

This Houston team believes that they can hang with LA, and I guarantee that they feel they dont need Yao to win.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HOME TEAM IN THE PLAYOFFS WHEN THEIR BACKS ARE AGAINST THE WALL.

This line of +8 has the Yao injury built into it. Admit it: No matter what the line was you were betting the Lakers because Yao was out.

This line has value, and I think we see the best effort from the Rockets that you will see the rest of the series. If you want to bet the Rockets, bet them with their backs against the wall, in a home - must-win game.

Good luck Boxslayer

Hache Man,

Sorry to bother, but I haven't received the $300 NASCAR prize in my BetJM acct yet. It's been about 4 hours, I don't know if it was supposed to take this long...can I verify that it was account #28002 that the prize was awarded to?

(Sorry but my PM messaging abilities have been suspended, so I can't PM you).

Thanks again, cheers! :toast:

Really glad to see you on the rockets. The way I see it is that everyone and their mother is going to be on LA today. It is not free money day from Vegas. Rockets keep this one close and may win out right.

Sorry for late post..was at moms. I realy thought Houston could win this game...the only reason I say this is because of last year.

But this is a ass whipping that cant be forgotten..

Like is said when this series started.

The fakers are what they are...best in the west and can even get a lead against us...

Kobe has still not become a leader....its all about me..me..me with him.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread...my sidekick won't let bme start a new thread...just quick replies...thx bud

2* Orlando Magic -5 -110

Outside of the Game 1 staggering loss to the Sixers, Orlando has been straight punishing teams on their home court.

Last game, the Magic withstood the suspension of Rafer Alston, and crushed the Celtics in a pivotal Game 3. That was Boston's chance to try and get back in this series, and although they are still 1 game away from stealing home court back here tonight, every game that passes these Celtics are at a disadvantage.

Celtics have to be one of the most fatigued teams in the playoffs after their barn burner series with the Bulls, and as these series' continue to wear on, especially road games, I like the Celtics less and less to advance.

Doc Rivers noticed his teams fatigue by allowing them time off. But the bottom line is with KG out, this team is at a major disadvantage in the low post against Dwight Howard, and I love how Rafer Alston's 1 game suspension allows him to come back tonight with the freshest legs on the court at the top of the key, setting the pace for the Magic.

Celtics are handicapped with the loss of KG, fatigued, on the road, and playing against a hot team that has been punishing teams at home, with a good nucleus of players. This Celtics team has been battling as hard as they can, but they are at their breaking point, and I think this is the game it happens.

Eddie House has been shooting out of his mind, and how much longer can that happen for? A road game with pressure here is where you expect him to come back down to earth.

I expect the Magic to take a 3-1 lead here tonight, i think the Celtics defend their home court with their backs against the wall in Boston, and I think the Magic finish them off back in Orlando. Magic in 6 here setting up a good eastern conference matchup between 2 of the games brightest young stars Lebron and Dwight, and that starts tonight with a game 4 win on the Magic's home court.
