Hmmm! Interesting matchup me thinks. The dough is trickling in on Rocky, but this is not an
easy one I don't think. I'd say Rocky is better known of these, but Raheem is a game fighter. He may not, however, have the skills
and poise of Juarez. Ideas anyone?

I'm playing the dog on this one. Rocky almost got Ko'd in his last fight.

Public seems to love dog here, but the line opened -135ish and has been as low as -120 and as high as -162. It appears to be getting great 2 way action.

Hey Franks I have never been to the Hilton but I was reading the article on the site here which talks about its "superbook". Do you know if they post fight lines? I'm still looking for a Gatti vs Dorin line out there.

Tell me something, why are all of these books (5dimes, Olympic, and Pinny scared to put up a line on Bojado vs Leija)? They all have a bunch of fight lines up and for much smaller fights but none of them have this fight.

Whats the problem with putting this one up?

I'm not scared, just dont want to clutter the boards. I already made numbers on 80% of the scheduled bouts listed. I have that number, but you won't see it until I send it out Monday unless 5dimes hangs it. I haven't been w/ OLY for a month or so, so don't expect to see anything boxing/fight related up there first. Pinny,5dimes and Sportsbook.com have the 1st numbers anywhere anymore.

Regarding the Hilton "superbook", please be advised that anything a casino promotes out here is 90% bullcrap. They have a sportsbook
and nothing more. All smoke and mirrors, like this whole town. And I haven't heard of a line on Bojado-Leija, but when it does come out look for Bojado to be a big number, maybe a
5 dollar fav. Round prop may be worth a peek.

Odessa are you Joey formerly of Oly? If you are I've spoken to you a few times in the past and you gave me your private number to call when placing bets. Whats "made numbers" mean?

With Bojado vs Leija I dont even know if I'd make a play but yeah Gil if I was to bet it'd be Bojado. Leija is a very good technial fighter and might take Bojado out on technical skills and experience alone, he showed against Tszyu that he can fight very competitively against one of the best fighters in the world (unless Tszyu just wasnt on his game that night). But he also showed that he has lost his heart like alot of vet fighters that have been around the block awhile have. They will bring their best stuff and give it their best shot but once it starts to look like an uphill battle for them and they start taking hard shots they fold up. If you reach that point with Leija he will give up. The only question is whether Bojado can take him to that edge.
But Bojado at -500? That would seriously suprise me.

And theres still not a book in Vegas with a Gatti vs Dorin line?

I make a number on every fight for myself. Then do a bit of consulting . Usually the first one you see public, but maybe 5% of the time it didn't originate w/ me, which is what I prefer. I send them to select individuals. I dont particularly care what they use them for. Yes, I used to be w/ OLY, but independent now and will remain that way. No need to give details of who I consult anymore with b/c of all the forum and sportsbook politics.

How bad was that friggin ref? He killed the entire fight. Raheem was not holding and hitting just holding, but every 2 seconds this assclown was in his face with warnings and deductions. what an asshole.

Cool Joey, I didnt realize that you were the premiere guy in the world for posting fight lines. Somebodys got to do it, we gotta get you working in Vegas so we can have a book there that posts some damn fight lines.

In regards to the ref I probably wouldnt have been such a hard ass on him but he kept warning the guy for doing something illegal and the idiot ignored the warnings and kept insisting on doing it. Whats he supposed to do if the guy blows his warnings off?

clinches are a part of boxing....ali made a living holding guys behind the head....

when a guy is 2 inches shorter than you and is trying to get inside, you punch, and clinch.....nullifying his advantage inside....

i don`t like this type of fighter...but,it`s part of the game...

juarez was crouched....raheem is naturally taller...he wasn`t holding and punching....

if every fight was handled in this manner, what do you think would happen to boxing?...it would die

and why wasn`t raheem d.q`ed?.....why???....after maybe 15 or 20 warnings.....because you can get away with handcuffing a fighter....you`d catch enormous flak for an outright d.q....a ridiculous d.q....

i really think that by the 10th,raheem wanted to get d.q`ed...so some stink would be raised...but,gonzales wasn`t going to do it...under any circumstances...

how about the tape hanging from the gloves...the ref stops the fight to cut raheem`s tape...while juarez fought long stretches with over a foot of tape hanging from his gloves...

this ref was in the bag...or just plain biased....

and i`m getting damned tired of seeing young hard working guys....taking months to prep for career altering fights......getting homered...by pasty, biased or paid off local riff raff...

would juarez have won if the ref had been neutral?....possibly...probably with two houston judges at ringside....

but,we`ll never know...

you`d have to be blind...or biased....or have a stake in the bout... not to realize it...

I'm sorry but just because youre taller then your opponent doesnt make it legal to clinch him behind the head. It can possibly strain your opponents neck and if you do it often or hard enough it can tire the guy out. Yeah people have done it in the past and have gotten away with it but the point is once the ref tells you not to do it 40 times you need to stop doing it. Thats Raheems fault that he insisted on continuing to do it. Blame Raheem for it. You can still clinch a shorter guy without grabbing him behind his neck.

As for the tape Raheems came back off after Juarez's corner taped his back up and the ref didnt halt the fight again for it.

There has been alot of horrible refing as of late and far worse judging but I think you guys are going overboard on this. It might have been a little biased but I've seen alot worse.

Bojado-500 at Pinny and -635 at 5dimes. But I guess you knew that. Still surprised? The
oddsmakers are going to make the publics pay
dearly for this one. The casinos love this crap.
And lets never forget WHO the oddsmakers clients
are; the bookmakers of course. I'm tellng ya,
the suits in the casinos here cream their jockies when folks lay the huge lumber on the
chalks of the world. Bojado SHOULD win this tilt, but 5-1? There just ain't no end to this crap.
