5D has the following line up

even money to start round 2 seems too easy. However, I don't know anything about these guys other than the information from boxrec.com.

Minto is 30-2 with 19 KOs. He has won 4 of his last 6 fights with 1st round KO/TKO, though the opponents had 13, 7, 7 and 7 losses each. Last four fights against guys with lower loss totals he lost, 6 KO, UD, UD.

Poore is 20-2 with 18 KOs, was KO 1 once and his last KO1 was 4 years ago.

Anyone know anything about these guys?

Poore is basically a Journeyman foghter that fights locally in PA. He has never fought anyone one of note, let alone a Top 10 contender. He is not big for a heavyweight and has very little power. He was selected for Minto to put on a bit of a show before knocking him out.

Minto is essentially an ESPN creation. He has fought mostly on their Friday Night fights show. He has decent power but is not big for a heavyweight. to give you an idea of how highly regarded he is, his world rank is 42, just above Holyfield, 43 year old Oliver McCall (who hasnt fought in a year) and behind Ruiz, Rahman and Golata.

Minto is a fun fighter to watch on ESPN but is not really a talented fighter. He will win this fight by a knockout, but probably after a three or four round beatdown.

If the idea is to get him into the top 10 and fight for a title then he will have to show something more then a first round KO of a tomato can fighter. I expect him to show off some of his skills over the first 3 or 4 rounds and then turn it up notch for a KO

Safe bet to take the start round 2 bet

Look at the line now - someone pounded the Round 2:

Wed 7/2 121 Minto/Poore starts round 2 -175
9:45PM (EST) 122 Fight won't start round 2 +135

I may take the +135 now...:103631605

Minto wins no doubt but I don't know about the prop bet. Minto is not the type to come out swinging for the fences unless his opponent do then BAM! I've since him move and jab a few times the fights I've seen. Good luck anyway

Thanks guys. Actually it moved before that post. Possibly was an off line, I first saw it at -180 to go to Round 2, then logged back in, saw the +100, then 10 minutes later it was back to -170. Who knows.

I am sick of boxing after that bald headed asshole Joe Cortez robbed me of a huge parlay last week with one of the most crooked decisions in boxing history

im thinking of betting this Poore guy can withstand the onslaught for 3x rounds, but looking at past fights for Minto a lot of his opponents haven't been able to do that

this poore guy hasn't had a fight outside of Philly in 5years

well he hasn't had a fight outside of PA/NJ/DE ever. and has fought some real bums. looks like Minto should make quick work of him. hence the u3x line chalky

I'm in on the under, any guy fighting a tomato can on ESPN2 will swing for the fences in round 1.

Close fight LOL. He brought it to Minto hence a slugfest in which Poore didn't stand a chance.

The line was right at the top of the thread, lol.

Glad I got +250 for it instead. Thanks for the thread, would not have even looked at this.
