Bowling Green vs miami OH

After the win with toledo, harris bowling greens qb immediately started thinking about another shot at Miami.

"Ever since that game, we talked about the opportunity to play them again," Harris said. "I can't even celebrate this win. We want to win the MAC."

Bowling Green, one of three schools in the country averaging 200 yards passing (296.7) and rushing (209.8), was held to 183 and 160, respectively, in the loss to Miami.

The game may have more meaning for Bowling Green because Miami has already accepted an invitation to play in the GMAC Bowl on Dec. 18 in Mobile, Ala. The Falcons, though, need a victory to assure themselves a spot in the Motor City Bowl in Detroit.

If they lose, the Motor City Bowl could select Northern Illinois, a team Bowling Green beat 34-18 on Oct. 25.

Bowling Green has won 13 straight at home since a 24-21 loss to Miami on Nov. 3, 2001. The RedHawks lead the all-time series 37-18-5.

Going with Bowling green b/c BG has to have the game more then miami and is tough at home.Look for a much more closer game this time aganist MO especially with it being on BG home turf.

BG looked good early in the first game a little less mistakes and the home cookin just might get the win.

this game reminds me alot of the md/wf game last sat. md coming into wf after bowl bid is secured. they were obviously the better team of the two but came out flat but woke up the second half and took control of the game. This has the same makings but with the conf title at hand i can't see mia oh coming out flat. just my .02.

Question from someone that doesn't following the MAC very closely.

The game is @ BG right? Is it at their home field? If so, what are the conditions there, wet?

Miami-Ohio, what do they play on at home, turf or grass?

I really want to take BG, but it's tough given how rested Miami is, and BG's D just isn't up to par with Miami-Ohio's. But, if it will be truly a "home" game for BG, seems like there is a fair amount of home cooking in the MAC (I think back to Miami Ohio at Marshall when they lost but were the better team).

I agree with Texas kid....The better team wins here..Miami-Ohio is far to explosive to keep this game close...Miami will jump out early..and never look back..Lay the wood

GoUH,
If the field conditions are anything close to what they were last week expect a low scoring game. Although bad weather usually plays into the hands of the offense my experience has been bad field conditions (e.g. mud) benefit the defense (i.e. no cutbacks). Its supposed to rain today and I doubt the filed has improved. Its not like grass grows this time of year. Just my $0.02 but I'm taking the under because of the field conditions and both teams have the potential to score at will thus, as a coach I'm thinkin defense, shorten the game and keep the other guy off the field.

Hmmm, yeah, I was thinking under. Lots of talk about the offenses, makes me want to look at the under.

Mud and wind = more running? Can never tell with Miami Ohio, but again, maybe we'll see lots of holding calls? In BG, could be.....

160-114 (58%) all-sports posted record....Miami-Ohio @ Bowling Green

We'll go against the public tonight and recommend the Under as Miami-Ohio and Bowling Green compete for the Mid-American Championship.

Miami averages 42 points per game and Bowling Green 34 per game so the public have jumped on the over. But the boys in Vegas know what they're doing and have actually moved the line down from it's open of 60. Defensively the RedHawks allow 18 points a game while the Falcons allow 19 points per contest.

Miami have won their last 11 SU and notched a perfect 8-0 conference record. They rank number 1 in the MAC for rushing defense, passing efficiency defense, scoring defense, turnover margin and total defense. Five times this season they have held their opposition to less than 50 yards rushing. The 18.1 points per game given up by the Redhawks defense ranks 24th in the nation.

Bowling Green rallied to beat Toledo 31-23 at the weekend and earn a shot at Miami. The Falcons need a victory tonight to assure themselves a spot in the Motor City Bowl in Detroit so they will be trying exceptionally hard to contain Miami. Overall this season the Under is 5-3 for the Falcons including 3-1 recently.

When these teams met November 4 Miami held the Bowling Green offense to 163 yards under their season average. They cruised to a 33-10 win and did restricted QB Josh Harris to 160 yards passing. "They did a good job of mixing things up and keeping Josh off-balance" said coach Gregg Brandon. The RedHawks repeatedly went after Harris and forced him into three fumbles.

Take the Under tonight and enjoy what should be a great game.

Recommended Play: Under 58.5

Good luck
Mike Thomas
