Bowl Motivation

Since Christmas the team leading at half time has gone 11-2 ATS in the second half.

My theory is bowl Motivation - it was clearly on display in the last two games last night.

Oregon's Defense was playing inspired football for their out going Co-ordinator

Arizona State Defense looked like they could care less, letting TT players run by them.

I think that will change after Today's games as we start to get in to some meaningful games, but A thought for today and next year.

That entire ASU team looked hungover and tired. They didnt care one bit.

I was able to live bet TT at +7.5, +4, Pick, etc.........

That helped salvage a losing day.

I think Ohio State could care less on Friday night IMO

Usually a team that loses before their Bowl Game loses motivation. Arizona St the latest example. Losing to Stanford, missing out on the Rose Bowl, ending up in San Diego playing in a shitty Monday night bowl game. It was very clear those guys didn't give 2 shits about that game.

Texas Tech was far more fired up. Started the year very strong, lost a string of games, won late to become bowl eligible. Those guys appreciated the chance to play in that game.

While its true Ohio St missed out on the BCS Championship game, they do have some motivation. They were undefeated last year, but missed out on the Bowl season due to probation. Although they aren't in the title game, they do draw a marquee BCS Bowl game. Its a Friday night game, opposite OK ST/Missou. Urban Meyer isn't going to have his team unprepared, they will be ready to give their best effort. He's getting this program headed in the right direction, and a strong showing on national television is a great part of the recruiting effort.

IMO, this is one of the few times where a team that lost out on the ultimate prize will still have plenty of motivation to give a max effort.

Another winner last night as Oklahoma covered the first half and the second.

Maybe the thread title should be changed to bowl preparation, as the team who covered the first half is now 22-7 in the second half since the 26th there has been only 3 losses.

So if Ohio State wins tonight what did they accomplish nothing as they didnt want to play in Miami tonight and with that defense guted basically tonight there def line better put heat on Boyd tonight.Im a big Ohio state fan but there goal was for the National Title not Ornage Bowl Champs 2014

He was the one with the SEC team when he won those four games, at least a couple against the Big Ten as I recall..
