So that leaves 4.5 mil in cap space, and they still need to sign A. Pardy and D. Boyd (and maybe Lundmark). And I am expecting that from the list found on the link, you can scratch Primeau, Bertuzzi, Camelarri, Roy, Aucoin, and Warrener.

Trading Vandermeer on the weekend freed up a net 1.7 mil. I am guessing that they will try and do something similar with Primeau.

Another possibility... now that our AHL team is a 60 min direct flight away we may not have to carry around a 7th D and 13 th forward everywhere we go anymore because our new affiliate (Abbotsford) is actualy accessable for the frst time ever. Might save a couple bucks there too?

If they pair up Phaneuf with Bowmeester wow! That's a defensive pairing and just scary on the powerplay!

Phaneuf sucks balls. Regehr is a much better player but he gets no credit outside of Calgary because of his lack of offensive skills.

Flames defensive corp is probably the best in the league right now, still second to the Wings though. Only problem for the Flames now is that after the Iginla+Jokinen line, it becomes average at best (Im being generous here) and the defensive corp will do their job in front Kipprusoff, but will Kipprusoff do his job for the whole season? Wait and see.
