If your not worried about money, id stay in the copley hotel or a hotel in that area (theres a ton if you do a quick search) Anyways id recommend staying in the Copley square area bc boyston street is a couple minute walk away and theres a bunch of bars n places to eat on boyston street. Newbury street has more places to eat and boutiques up n down the street to shop if your into that. Stephanies on newbury is nice in the summer you can sit outside and eat and watch all the people walking around shopping etc. Fenway is a short 15 minute walk away from boylston/Newbury streets. Thats your best bet you are close to the boston common if you head to the bottom of boylston/newbury streets and close to fenway at the top of them. Copley is a good area where your close to a good area of the city. When u walk over to fenways there's more bars and places to eat all around the park.
Hopefully you get nice weather you will enjoy yourself with everything around there and Fenway is fantastic, its old but you can feel the history in that place.

You could stay somewhere near the waterfront like the Boston Harbor Hotel looking over the harbor. From there you could walk to the newest section of Boston, the Seaport area with it's many bars and restaurants. Or walk the Greenway. Or walk to Fanueil Hall. Or take a Duck Tour. Or take a walk along the Freedom Trail covering much of Boston's deep history. Or walk to Boston's North End with it's many great Italian restaurants or a slice of delicious Sicilian pizza at my friend Parziale's Bakery. Or eat seafood in my friend Donnato's newest restaurant, Il Molo, where you will feel like a Mafia don for the day in the cream leather chairs and glass. Don't forget to get an eclair or cannoli at Mike's Pastry after walking off your meal for a few blocks.
The waterfront is about a three mile cab ride from Fenway. The Boston Garden (Bruins and Celtics) is a stone's throw from the outside of the North End.
We've got a great city. Enjoy.
