Could end up being a defining win for the Sox in the pennant race, especially with Crawford and Longoria out for Tampa right now.. we will see how they build on the win and whether they have the mentality to win it this season or not

Good point, I was thinking the same thing, lose and were back in pre Jason Bay days, win and it's a springboard to run for the playoffs.

Classic that will not be forgotten for many moons.

Sure the Sox blew a big lead, lets not forget they started a 28 year old rookie making his Big League debut but showed what they are made of as a team by coming back and thrilling the crowd and Red Sox fans everywhere by winning a fantastic Fenway classic. Hats off to the hard hitting Rangers who never gave up despite being down 10-0 after an inning, a team that put up 15 runs against Baltimore on Sunday (they were off Monday)..They may lack in pitching but carry some heavy lumber.

Let see what gutsy Red Sox lefty Jon Lester (10-4 3.24 ERA) can do with them Wednesday night. Texas will send righty Louis Mendoza (3-5 7.50 ERA) to the Fenway hill for Texas. Lester is overpriced at -240 IMO.

Wil,
Please save the blatant homerism for Fishhead and Mr. Smith. Let's not forget the Sawks have yet to beat the Marlins in a post-season series.

Sincerely,
Mr. Marlin/Doberman.

You are right, I have no business rooting for any team and even less posting about them. From now on I am going to keep my thoughts in my personal blog that luckily no one reads or objects to.

Apologies for letting this exciting game get the best of me and make me feel young again somehow.

The power of the Red Sox will be turned on the Rays down the stretch. You fans of the "little teams" out there are messing with forces you cant possbily understand when you stand in front of the Red Sox. Its been a fun year to root for your team et all and go to the ballpark and eat a hot dog and drink a few beers, but that is over now. The Red Sox are turning it on.

By the playoffs, the Red Sox will once again be smoking hot and by the time they get to the NL team it will once again be a total mismatch and a massacre.

The Marlins are a nice team, Id hate to see them take a beating so bad at the hands of The Champion Red Sox that like Colorado it will take them years to get over it and recover. The World Series last year should have had the ref step in and halt it after game 3. There was no need for the senseless bloody beat down to continue any further.

So I'm out shopping and I get a call from a buddy and his girlfriend that are at this game. I had helped them get tickets through stubhub and said the game was amazing, they called me it was 15-14 Rangers..........They also took the stadium tour and said that it is a must do also if you go to fenway.

I am in Boston for work and went to the game last night...one of, if not the best contests I have been to. My coworker hit the over in the first inning and I was really sweating my Red Sox bet.

Going again tonight! I owe a local colleague an all expense paid trip to the game including food and drink for a series bet we made on the NBA finals. going to cost me a fortune as I am staying in Boston an extra night (so work won't cover the hotel, etc) plus tickets, food and drink. Seems like ages ago when I felt a bit guilty betting him straight up on the series!
