takin the celts. KG wont make that big of a difference, they have an excellent bench and overall the better team...doesnt matter where theyre playing. I took them at -2' and essentially you are asking me who will win the game? My answer is boston.

Sixers are 10-3 in their last 13. Road game for the Celtics without KG. I think the line seems about right. I wouldn't bet either side, but I certainly see what Vegas thinks.

If Boston is vulnerable this year it is on the road. They are only 8-12 ATS on the road.

Kevin Garnett is the gasoline that makes this Boston racecar reach such incredible speeds. Without him the ball movement that is the hallmark of any successful team will diminish, the boards will suffer, and above all the defense will fall back a notch.

Without him Paul Pierce took over against Minny, putting up 36. Rondo's assists went down. That is the old, pre Garnett, Celtic formula that won't be good enough in Philly tonight against the Atlantic Division's second place team who got clobbered by the Cs twice already this year.

Philly hasn't lost a home game by more than 2 points since way back on 12/10. They will be ready for the Celts tonight.

The Celts didn't cover their last without Garnett, at home to Minny, a team they get up for because of the strong ex-Celt presence on that team (Garnett trade) and that was at home.

Bodog is up to +3'. I'm waiting for 4 but I'll be on Philly later.

Sixers are 9-13 ATS @ home and only 13-10 SU. Play this game 100 times and you'd be profitable taking the Celtics everytime IMO.

Everyone keeps saying "Philly is 10-3 in their last 13 games," but that is very misleading. They are 3-3 in their last 6 including a game against the Nets in which they were leading by 8 pts with 2 minutes left and lost the game outright. I am all over Boston tonight (bought the line down to 1.5), and expecting them to keep rolling.

That is a bad way of looking at the game. Boston is dealing with a flu. Major player out. Has the Lakers next game. Philadelphia operating with double major revenge and comes up with an 83 from space last game and you see no danger. Just curious. What would you Consider a dangerous spot?

Trust me I am as big a C's fan as it gets but pretty soon there is going to be a ton of value on the Philly side. Considering a road game without their leader, who is their top defensive player/ one of top rebounders, the line was set at -2. While they were able to beat the T'Wolves at home by 8 without KG, it wont be as easy on the road in Phila. According to sports insights, 92 percent are on the Celtics spread, while only 8 percent are on Sixers. While this is not 100 percent accurate, you can obviously see why the line has moved to 3.5, or more at some places. If this line continues to climb, good value play on the Sixers imo.
