The fans and players of the Red Sox are being villified while its the Yankees that went berserk and COMPLETELY OVERREACTED.

* Zimmer runs across the field and tries o punch a player, who simply avoids him. End of story. You Pedro bashers are idiots.
* Garcia tkes a very cheap shot on that slide into second base. That was criminal. If I were Boston I'd throw at Garcias head a few times in spring training next year. He could have ended Todd Walkers career on that play, all over a hit by pitch, in the back.
* Garcia goes into the bullpen and helps trample an employee who did nothing other than root for the home team. Criminal charges pending.

Knumnut Yankee brass blame red sox management for the unpleasentness tonight. look in the fukin mirror jackasses.

No shit,Clemens is always head hunting and the Steinbrenner suck asses on TV call him a "competitor"...How come big mouth Posada didn't go after Pedro when he had the chance.
Thats the fastest Zimmer moved in 40 years..Fxckin asshole looked like "Minne Me" bouncing around on the grass...I laugh my ass off harder everytime I see it..I read Pedros lips at the same time and I think he said "ole!"

For a team (Yanks) that gives us every reason to hate them, lets add this day to the list. Since when does a coach go charging after a player and get sympathy? What stupidity, he got what he deserved. Talk about a no lose situation, if he injured Pedro in any way then he took out the opposing team's ace for what? A bench coach! People gonna tell us the Yanks can't win without their bench coach around? That is the ultimate shot taking there, go after the opponents best player with a guy you couldn't care less if he was suspended. Zim's been around how many years? Don't tell me that wasn't a totally calculated move on his part.

I agree wildbill, What was Pedro supposed to do there, Just Let Mr.Zimmer punch and kick him while not doing anything. I don't know guys but if any man steps up to me and starts slugging on me, I am going to defend myself as I'm sure most of you would do too. I am not going to let any man whether he be 72 years old be taking free shots at me.

yup. a yank is gunna catch it in the head pretty bad real soon and get stretcher treatment. most of us will say "man thats rough". but youll get the hysterical few, come on and talk about the yanks tradition and so and so didnt deserve to get drilled with the pitch and that its wrong for everyone to be laughing at him cuz the yanks are astute at spending that 180 mil and how it just wasnt right.

I was a very good baseball player and played up until college ball. I have never seen anythin like that cheap shot at second base by Garcia at any level.

that was very dangerous and lucky that Garcias lapse did not result in severe injury either way. That was like throwing at someone's head with intent to injure, which is extinct from major league baseball today.

I don't think that has happened since Clemens nearly killed Piazza ought of spite.

celaya ,
you put it perfectly for those who don't understand, read his post.

Pedro did nothing at all wrong. Zimmer was out of control, be he 25 years old or 70, he was wrong.

Pedro simply avoided the confrontation.

Bill,
Zim was in a coma for 2 weeks after the 53' beaning. It's not about a game .. it's about some motherfuker endangering another man's life ... Pedro threw at Garcia's head. It's beyond bball at that point - it's about life.

Same goes for Clemens against Piazza.

pedro hit the guy in the back. thats a lot different than the head, which can be career and life threatening.

what Garcia did at second base is inexcusable.
