It feels like there are going to be a million points in this game if we don't get any surprise absences. It looks like the total is actually in the process of going down a point at some books, which is interesting. I get nervous betting NBA early in the day, despite the great CLV I have gotten from time to time this year. I actually had Cleveland -4 yesterday because I bet them in the wee hours of Saturday morning. I woke up, bet the Grizzlies and Spurs and the Cavs game was down to -2.5 because Mobley and Garland were in danger of missing the game. I got a bad number and Cleveland only won by a point. On the flip side, I got 5.5 points of closing line value on the Kings Wednesday night, which was the difference between a win and loss.

I really like Minnesota tonight, to the point that they will be a rare 3 unit play if DeAngelo Russell plays. This is a horrible spot for Denver, as they are playing the second of a back to back and the third game in four nights. Minnesota is desperate for a win, having lost six in a row. If Russell doesn't play, I will still bet the game, it will just be a normal 2 unit bet. I will update as soon as his status is made clear.

These two teams are polar opposites in terms of the type of game's they want to play. Atlanta wants to get up and down and are 23-16 to the over. Meanwhile, the Clippers are 17-24 to the under. The Hawks have lost 5 of 6 and the Clippers have lost 5 in a row. I will pass on the side and total and go with a prop I like Okongwu has really been flourishing without Capela in the lineup He has four double doubles in the last 11 games (seven starts) and is averaging about 12 points and 9.5 rebounds during that stretch. I'll take a shot on a player prop tonight.
Unless the Thunder blow this lead to the Doncic-less Mavs, it will be a 2-0 start. 3-0 after the train wreck yesterday would be nice. Good luck.
