Celtics/Wizards over 237.5 (-110), 2 units
Rockets -6.5 (-110), 2 units
Washington has not shown any desire to play defense so far this season, yet we know they can score. Boston has lost Tristan Thompson and both Williams to Covid for the next week which leaves them extremely thin at the center position. I think the Wizards are going to have success on the offensive glass and with second chance points which benefits the over. Also, Boston will be going small by default for stretches of this game. That is conducive to them on the offensive end based on matchups and the offensive talent of their guards and forwards.

Probably the biggest card of the basketball season today. I am expecting Westbrook to sit out tonight for the second of a back to back. I believe that is already accounted for with the line. I'm playing Denver due to the issues in Philly. They have 9 guys eligible to play today which is enough. But it is a bad combination of players behind Simmons, Embiid and Danny Green. I will have one more play in the Magic/Mavs game later in the day. GL!

There are a few other games I am looking at, but I need some injury info first. If Jaylen Brown and two of the Celtics bench players get cleared today, I will be on the Celtics plus the points. I also like Minnesota tonight, but I don't know if they are going to rest Towns after playing 37 min last night in his return to the court. Be back with more later. GL.

Celtics are a pass with their wings being ruled out. I will be taking Minnesota once it gets closer to tip-off. It really doesn't benefit me to bet them at this point. The line already moved with Derozan ruled out. I missed the best number a few hours ago when I was waiting to hear about Towns. Now I might as well wait a couple hours and ensure there are no other surprises.
January 12th

I don't see this going well for the Heat. I know both teams are dealing with the same Covid related issues. At least Philly has their two best players. They have Green and Scott who are legitimate rotation players and Maxey who can clearly score. Miami has Herro and Robinson and that's about it offensively. Iguodala and Achiuwa can defend and Olynyk can score a little. But they are pretty thin with viable options to keep pace with the top five Philly can put out there.

OKC has been playing better of late as the pieces seemingly begin to gel. They won 4 of 5 on their road trip which they badly needed. I know they lost last night, but I’m fine with a young team bouncing back the next night against a team they will clearly be up for. I also think there is a chance we get a rest or “injury” designation from someone meaningful on the Lakers. They also played last night and LeBron and AD are always candidates to sit out the second game on a back to back.

I was going to lock the Knicks in this morning and I didn't because they have let me down big time in their two most recent games. I think they win tonight. This seems like a great spot for them. All this stuff that has been going on surrounding the Nets today is a lot for them to handle. They played last night, swung a monster trade today, have the Kyrie drama going on and are shorthanded tonight. Meanwhile the Knicks have gotten dominated their last three games and are hungry similar to how the Kings were two nights ago. They need to get back on track. I believe Toppin is back for them tonight as well.

Hayward is going to play tonight for the Hornets which makes me feel good about that play. Derozan is back for the Spurs who are playing well lately winning 4 of 5. I expect Houston to improve and play better now that Harden and that saga are behind them. Just not tonight. Oladipo can't play yet due to protocols, Gordon and Wall are out with minor injuries and House isn't back yet from his own Covid issues. The Spurs should be able to win this game by double digits. GL
