Notre Dame -6.5 (-115), 2*

I can’t believe this number has dropped below 7 at a number is sportsbooks. I think the spread should be around 8.5 which is where it opened. At -6.5, this is a two unit bet for me. Indiana played one above average team this season and got beat decisively. Their best win is either against Michigan or Washington. Notre Dame’s defense is very good. While Indiana was excellent at stopping the run, this is going to be a big test for them against Notre Dame’s offensive line. Leonard has been a much better passer the last month or so. Notre Dame will get a boost from being the home team. I respect Indiana, they had a really nice season. I just don’t think they match up well over four quarters with the Fighting Irish. GL

Penn State -8 (-112), 1*
Ohio State -7 (-115), 1*

At these numbers, I can’t pass up these bets. Especially Ohio State -7. I thought I was going to pass this game assuming that the spread would be in the 7.5-9 range. As I might have mentioned when I posted my Ohio State future, you can certainly make a case that the Buckeyes are the most talented team in the playoff. I think they will be highly motivated after suffering that brutal loss to Michigan. I wouldn’t bet this at -7.5, it has to be -7.

I would have been comfortable betting Penn State up to -9.5. I feel similar about them as I did about Notre Dame. The Irish seemed like the perfect setup for a two unit bet, whereas I could at least make a case for SMU to cover. I don’t think they will which is why I’m betting Penn State. But I could make a case for SMU unlike Indiana, who I thought was going to get exposed and had next to no chance of covering. I think Penn State’s physicality will wear SMU down as the game progresses. Penn State’s tight end is a stud and SMU wasn’t great at covering that position during the season. I know James Franklin hasn’t exactly been a big game coach. However, he wins games like this. The games he loses are to teams like Oregon or Ohio State. He can handle the SMU’s of the world more often then not.

I am probably going to add Clemson to my card tomorrow. I see a couple sportsbooks that have +13.5 right now. I might as well wait and see if any 14’s pop up during the day.

Clemson +13.5 (-110), 1*

+14 never showed up. I’m more then content with 13.5. Two easy winners with Notre Dame and Penn State. I’m not sure if this one will be easy, but I feel confident in how I’m seeing the board. GL

South Florida -1 (-112), 1*

I am kicking myself. I could have bet South Florida +3 this morning. With that said, I think they win this game and am still willing to bet them -1. GL

What a crazy game. That was a true toss-up game and I happened to be on the right side. I might bet Toledo on Thursday. I will definitely update that day. Happy holidays everyone!

Toledo +7 (-120), 1*

I bet this a couple hours ago and forgot to post. So I’ll post the odds it would cost to buy a half point. I would only bet this at +7. Pitt is starting a walk-on at qb which is why Toledo has taken more money. I’m willing to bet Toledo at +7 due to the wide range of outcomes that are possible in this game. But it has to be 7. GL

USC +3.5 (-115), 1*

Dogs are hot the last couple days. I think +3 or better is a good bet here. GL

North Carolina -2.5 (-110), 1*
Louisiana Tech +17.5 (-110), 1*

I bet Louisiana Tech on Monday, which I posted here. I would still be ok betting 14.5, but that’s the line. I might add Nebraska and Miami in the next hour or two. Waiting to see if I can get -3 on Nebraska or -4 on Miami. GL

East Carolina/NC State over 60.5 (-110), 1*

I am going to pass on the other games. I honestly don’t know how much Ward will play for Miami. Could only be a quarter. I don’t know how long Sanders and Hunter will play for Colorado. I lean Nebraska, but I want -3. With the amount of bets I’m going to have today across four sports, I don’t need to force anything.

Penn State/Boise State over 53.5 (-110), 1*
Penn State Team Total over 31.5 (-125), 1*

I like some overs tomorrow, which makes me nervous. I am considering over 44.5 in the Michigan game. It’s just hard to make the bet with their offense. I leaned over in the Iowa game today, but I was nervous about Iowa’s play style. The game did go over, but Iowa only scored three points in the second half. I’m worried about Michigan’s offense being similarly stagnant. I will update tomorrow if I have any bets on the non-CFP games.

Alabama/Michigan over 44.5 (-110), 1*

This total just went to 45 at one prominent sportsbook. I’m going to bet this number now while it is still available.
