Pedro Martinez will try to build on two of his most impressive performances of the season when the Boston Red Sox complete a four-game series with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at Tropicana Field.

Martinez has given up three earned runs and 12 hits over 14 innings in his last two starts, striking out a season high-tying 11 in each outing. The Dominican right-hander surpassed 10 strikeouts for the 69th time with Boston in Saturday's 7-4 win at Detroit, breaking the franchise mark established by Roger Clemens

DEVIL RAYS PROBABLE STARTER: Mark Hendrickson (8-10, 4.24 ERA). The 6-foot-9 left-hander has lost consecutive starts, allowing 11 runs and 17 hits over 11 innings. He was reached for five runs and a season high-tying 11 hits over 6 1-3 innings in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Seattle. He is 1-2 with a 6.51 ERA in eight career appearances, including seven starts, against the Red Sox. On the road this year, Hendrickson is 4-5 with a 3.51 ERA in 10 appearances, including nine starts.

RED SOX PROBABLE STARTER: Martinez (12-4, 3.94 ERA). Martinez has dominated the Devil Rays during his career, going 10-2 with a 1.79 ERA in 17 starts. At home this year, he is 6-1 with a 3.69 ERA in 10 outings.

Truely,
The Sox are home, buddy. It's not at tropicana field.
I do agree that the sox(especially with that spark of offense they had last night) will win this game easy......Then again, they never make it easy.

Kind of funny to talk about these huge monoply plays when a guy does not even know where the game is being played!
