Another hold your nose special. It’s not easy going from Portland to Utah back to back. Brown, Horford and Porzingis are all out. I wish Markannen was playing, but Utah can absolutely hang around. There is every possibility that Boston is going through the motions knowing this is the last game of their road trip.

As I have mentioned repeatedly, I like to fade teams the first game when a star returns. And I like to bet on teams the first game a star is out. Everyone bets the other side and the spread gets to a point that is advantageous. Dallas is that team today. This line was 6.5 and now it is 11. OKC has been playing at a lower level the last couple weeks. 4-3 in their last 7. I will take a shot on Dallas as big dogs tonight in a spot that nobody wants them. I know Harden is out, but George and Kawhi are active. The Bulls went to OT last night and don’t have Coby White. I expect LA to pull away in the second half. GL

Blazers +13.5 (-110), 1*
I know the Blazers stink, but I think this is a pretty good spot to bet them. They are 4-5 in their last 9, which is improvement for them. They have started to get a little healthier which has contributed to more consistent play. New Orleans will be playing the second of a back to back. This is a clear letdown spot coming off a win over the Clippers. There is absolutely a chance that Zion or one of their other important players rests in this game. This line is already dropping presumably due to the factors I mentioned. This is not a game the Pelicans should lose at home or on the road for that matter. But I can’t pass up 13.5 points in this spot. Even if the Pels have their full team, I will feel fine about this bet. The Hornets, Pacers and Kings are some leans I have early, but I’m not ready to commit to anything else quite yet. 19-6 run. GL

It looked like I was going to sweep the board today, but the Nets blew a ten point lead in the fourth quarter and lost in OT. I’m on a 23-9 run, so I’m more then satisfied with how things are going lately and all season for that matter. There are a couple interesting spots tomorrow including the Hawks playing the second of a back to back in LA.

I am probably going to wait until the last minute and bet Philly once I know if Butler and Harris are playing. This might end up being a pick or -1 by game time. I kind of want to bet Detroit as big dogs in Boston. It looks like the Celtics are running a line change tonight. Holiday, Horford and possibly Tatum are out. White, Porzingis and possibly Brown are in. Hauser scored 30 last night, then rolled his ankle, so he is also out. You would think Boston has to slip up in one of these games. Not necessarily lose, but just play a close game. Cade is also questionable, let’s see who plays in that game first. GL
