in your scenario one wouldnt even need to have a balance at BOS to collect. showing a neteller deposit to BOS is close to worthless.

hopefully rick or someone verified our balances when the phone lines were up

while it doesnt matter to me as my deposit is pretty much my balance but adding the word "deposit" to the guarantee after the fact is kinda convenient. next it will show up as your last deposit. then who knows

To be fair it wasn't added, it was in the original post from marty..

Sean 1, Give it a fukin' rest already. Your point has been made and your agenda clear. Yes, there is no deadline yet. Yes we are all screwed waiting around until all possibilities of payment from BoS are exhausted. But there will indeed come a time when everyone will realize "deal or no deal" regarding payment (when BoS ceases as a going concern). And I appreciate that the Rx is not looking to weasel out of their $10k guarantee when that time comes.

On your last point, it will suck for those players who built balances above and beyond their deposits, but the guarantee has always been for deposits only. Small consolation for some, I know, but that's how it was written.

you are right, i cant believe i missed that.

to think how "sharp" i was withdrawing to keep my balance under 10k is ludicrous now.

sorry for my confusion

How about a statement form RickA? At least tell everyone they are not likely to receive a dime or give some sort of timeframe or event that will determine a timeframe.

About 2 days ago I recieved this phone message re "compensation":

"Hi. This is a message for XXXXXXX. This is Gracie & I'm calling in reference
to an account you used to have at Bet On Sports, or one of their affiliates,
Millenium, Gibraltar, or Infinity. We're giving out a compensation bonus.
Call me at 1-800-806-9171. My extension is 7107. Ask for Gracie."

The phone voice sounded familiar from sportsbook conversations i've had.
I haven't called the number or spoken to the lady, and as a Canadian
have accepted an offer from CRIS re all my BOS related accounts.

WVU,

It has been less than a month since Antigua stepped in to help settle BOS debts, so we have to give them some time to get things moving.

I will say again what I have already said many times – If it becomes clear that BOS will not be paying customers, we will pay those who qualify for the guarantee. I would not make that statement if it was not true.

People can keep saying that we are stalling, but that is not the case. We simply want to make sure that all avenues have been exhausted first. Let’s be honest, if we make payments today and BOS makes payments tomorrow, how many payments do you think we will get back?

Thanks
Rick

You could always write post dated checks. Date them for Jan 2008. Cancel the checks if BOS pays.

I know you guys are in a predicament and have bitten off a bit more than you can chew. It is just a little comforting for some to at least hear an acknowledgement and/or update. I have no doubt that you will try to make this right.

What indication would ensure you that BOS will not pay?

I mean seriously, the odds of them paying are well less than 1%.

man oh man, I thought this was a new thread.

I started reading all the posts about how long it was taking to get paid... how much longer we should wait... we've waited long enough...

then I looked at the dates of the posts.... all were posted over 6 months ago

Or better yet, for those owed money by BOS who qualified for the guarantee, how about paying them and getting a signed notarized statement from them entitling you to any money they might receive from BOS in the future.

Seems like a reasonable solution to me. There is absolutely no reason not to take this route now after 9 months.
