any thoughts if books do well with first halfs? I would assume most of the action goes on the favs for the 1st halfs. Is it a fair statement to say 1st halfs in the nfl are a disadvantage to the books? THANKS

Why would they be a disadvantage? For every "easy" winner in the 1st half like KC/Chicago, you've got lots of upsets such as Indy/Houston, Zona/Minny, Cleveland/Cincy.

Some favorites come out blazing in the 1st half. But some favorites sleep-walk until the 2nd half.

As long as the books get equal action, they'll offer bets on ANYTHING.

Halfs tend to be about as profitable as game lines though of course not in the same amounts as most people dont like to bet halfs *at least thats my experience*

Same with quarters, what the heck, if you can, why not offer it, someone will bet it. Im sure someone will jump in with their proven winner for 1H's or quarters but there just about as unpredictable as game lines.
