I sent in this complaint to SBR today.

Been betting sports for years, so I know a decent amount about it.
I'm not some loon with an unfair complaint, I have a legitimate case where I need help.
Hopefully SBRcan help.
Bookmaker customer service leaves much to be desired.
Getting a manager there is impossible.

Dear Sportsbookreview,

Hello and thanks for all your assistance in helping out between the books and the players.
I originally sent this email to you on 10/10/2008:

Date/Time: 10/10/2008 09:34 PM
Sportsbook: Bookmaker
Account #: xxxxxxxx
Type: {_CFPayoutComplaint_}
E-mail Address: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Alt Contact:
Name of Account Holder: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Forwarding Sportsbook Email: Yes
Authorize to Disclose Dispute Info: Yes
Description: I first requested a payout for $xxxx on SEPTEMBER 11, 2008. I was told that they were having processor problems. They put the money back in my account on September 26, 2008, and I requested a payout for the second time. This time I received a check for $1,000, but I am still owed $3,000 and have not received that. I have followed up several times, but my money has not arrived, and what is most frustrating is that they don't seem to give a f....k. It's been 30 days, and they still haven't gotten me my money. And it's been more than 10 business days since September 26, which was already 10 business days from my original request. It's been over 20 business days total, which is way past unacceptable. That's not fair. They give me the impression that they could care less if I ever paid. An "A" sportsbook? This is the stuff of the "D" or scam sportsbooks. I have been very patient and nice, and I'm getting treated like a doormat.

If you could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The problems did not end there, I’ve called 4 times and communicated through live chat 14 times regarding this problem, and as of today, January 16, 2009, I still have not received my $3,000.

I originally requested a payout on September 11, 2008, and after two weeks when I did not receive it, I called Bookmaker and they stated they were having “processor problems.” The money was placed back in my account and I requested a second withdrawal.

The check was signed for by a representative at my company address (Fedex package tracking #xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, delivered on 9/29/2008, and signed for by xxxxxxxx), however, the representative said the package was “lost”, and I never received it. I communicated through phone and live chat with Bookmaker several times to request the tracking #, and they would not provide me with one on October 2, 2008 when I communicated with their Customer Service Representative named “Victor”. I communicated through live chat on October 6, 2008 and dealt with a customer service representative named Carlos, and he ignored my request for a Fedex number. I also called twice during this week on the telephone and requested a Fedex tracking number, however Bookmaker stated they did not have one to give me.

Finally when I called on the telephone on October 13, 2008, the customer service representative from Bookmaker finally gave me a Fedex tracking number, and informed me that the check had been negotiated, and that Bookmaker would provide me a copy of the front and back of the check.

Since then I have communicated with Bookmaker at least 7 times (emails with a copy of the communication forwarded to you) over THREE months, and they STILL have not been able to forward me a copy of the front and back of the negotiated check.

I spoke to local law enforcement, and they would be glad to investigate the matter, but I can’t even file a complaint for them to investigate until they have a copy of the front and back of the check. Every time I have communicated with Bookmaker, they tell me they are waiting for the processor to give them a copy, but over THREE months is more than a little ridiculous.

This is beyond irresponsible. This is unprofessional and unfair. I understand the sportsbook is concerned with people trying to take unfair advantage of them, but there is no cause to believe that here, not only can I not receive a reimbursement (there should be insurance on the funds in the country, which is most likely Canada or the United States, where I can sign an affidavit that I never received the funds), and/or get a copy of the front and back of the check so I can take it to the local authorities and file a complaint. We can’t even take action against the person who signed for the package for anything except misplacing a package. I can't even get a copy of the front and back of the check so I don't even know if the check was ever really negotiated or not.

If Bookmaker had done the following:

1.Sent my money originally as requested, all this could easily have been avoided.

2.Had honored one of at least 4 requests for a valid Fedex tracking number, all of this could have been easily avoided. I could have probably retrieved the package if I had a chance to approach the person who signed for the package promptly.

3.Had responded professionally and accurately.

I am enclosing sent emails also to help@sportsbookreview.com.
Thanks for your help in this matter,

I might be reading this wrong, but it looks to me that Bookmaker sent the check to the guy (at least where his "address" was listed, at work .. which was a stupid thing to do in the first place), and then one of his co-workers signed for it from Fedex.

"The check was signed for by a representative at my company address (Fedex package tracking #xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, delivered on 9/29/2008, and signed for by xxxxxxxx), however, the representative said the package was “lost”, and I never received it."

That part is confusing for me..does it not sound like the rep at his company just took the check, since he claimed it was "lost"?

This whole scenario sounds very fishy too me..it just doesn't sound like Bookmaker did anything wrong..sure there was a delay getting the check but it got to the listed address and had this not been his company address (where other people would have a chance to sign for it), he would have had the check and we wouldn't even be discussing this right now. The only thing Bookmaker is possibly guilty of here is delaying the info..such as the tracking #..as for the front/back of the check .. they have a right to be suspicious of this guy .. and I think there is more to the story than this.

Oh, and if Bookmaker really took 4 months to pay (which isn't even true because this guy DID receive payment but he fucked it up by having it sent where others could have access to it), wouldn't you be hearing a lot more about this than one guy?

LOL .. yeah..Bookmaker takes 4 months to send my payment too..NOT.

bookmaker has been known to take 30 days often...but there is a extreme difference between SLOW PAY and NO PAY..

ask any vet who has been in the books of D or worse before reviews came out or didnt know of them.
