BIG AL'S PAID PLAY

At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the 'over' in the Texas Ranger/New York Yankee game. Last night, the Bronx Bombers continued their offensive assault with an 8-2 win over the Rangers, and that was New York's 7th straight victory vs. Texas dating back to last season. Over the last eight games, New York has scored 53 runs, and the Yanks OWN righty Robinson Tejeda, who is winless vs. New York with an 8.68 ERA and 1.61 WHIP. Mike Mussina will get the ball tonight from Joe Torre, and no doubt the 38-year old veteran will not go deep into the game, as he's only had one start since coming back from his hamstring injury and lasted just 64 pitches in that game. Both bullpens have been mediocre this season, and I foresee a very high-scoring game on Wednesday night. Take the 'over'. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

Sorry so late tonight. I did not get home until about 20 minutes ago and obviously not in time to make post any plays (I apologize to the two or three of you who occasionally glance at my plays).

I might take a look at the last game of the night (CLE/LAA) to see if there’s anything worth playing. Because it’s the only game left on the board and because I might not have touched this one otherwise, I want to avoid reaching for a play just for the sake of playing something.
<o:p></o:p>
Thank you to the following:
<o:p></o:p>
Wonderdog ~ Thanks for the service plays today. That was awesome. And by looking at the time that you posted those plays, I know you didn’t repost those from Bookie Buster’s thread. So thank you very much for sharing those with us.
<o:p></o:p>
Phantom ~ Once again, thank you very much for reposting the service plays from Bookie Buster’s thread. Great job separating the bases related stuff from the hoops and horses. Thanks for being there on multiple days for us.
<o:p></o:p>
Trains ~ Thanks for the Big Al paid play. It looks like are also are sharing plays that are independent of Bookie Buster’s thread. And the plays are always from big hitters. Love it!
<o:p></o:p>
Lastly, I already know in advance that tomorrow (Wed) and maybe Friday too, that I will be traveling a lot in the afternoon again. So hopefully today’s contributors can help again or anyone else who is interested in helping to repost the service plays. Suffice it to say, if you ever see that I have not had a chance to post them myself by 4:00 or 4:30 Central Time, then you know that I stuck working away from the office away from the PC.
<o:p></o:p>
And if ever the plays do not get posted, go over to the NBA Forum to get them directly from Bookie Buster’s original daily thread.

I see a lot of people are on LAA tonight, including two the better services on the Service Play Spreadsheet. Both Stan Sharp 19~7 (73%) and Panhandle 22~9 (71%) are on LAA.

But I am going to make a small play on CLE +108. It seems like everyone is waiting for Weaver to wake up and pitch like the guy who went 11~2 last year with a 2.56 ERA. But in my limited experience with bases, I see this sport as a “what you see is what you get” sport, meaning, I don’t put much stock into statements like “he’s due” or “they are due”. I am certain that Weaver will indeed “wake up”, but until he does, I will bet against it.
<o:p></o:p>
The same thing goes with the Angels team as a whole. They were rolling earlier in the season and I won several times with them. But now they are in a bit of a funk, and again, until they get out of it, I will put more trust in what I see than in what might be.
<o:p></o:p>
Bet ‘em when they are hot. Fade ‘em when they are cold. And hope to hell that Weaver doesn’t break out tonight!

Yeah, this is one of those picks where we probably had the right side (or if not that, at least right value) that just didn't pan out at the end. In fact, speaking of how many were on the LAA, in the Journeyman BetJam baseball contest, a high number of 6 chose LAA as one of their picks. I was the only one on CLE. Oh well.

Always tomorrow!

That would have been a nice win to pick up for you if everyone else in the contest was getting a loss in the process! Sorry it didn't hit for you Calvin.

I'll have to stop by your Survivor thread to see how it's going for you on that front.

Let's get 'em tomorrow Calvin!
