Pelicans agree to trade 3 players, including Buddy Hield, and future 1st and 2nd round picks to Kings for DeMarcus Cousins.
Great move by the Pelicans as they are making a move to show they are serious about trying to get into the playoffs. They also get the best center in the league by far to pair up with Davis.
I think Boogie will flourish in New Orleans as he gets away from the second most dysfunctional organization in the league (Knicks are #1 imo) as he will be in a place with another star so the load won't be all on him. Also he will be close to home as he is from Mobile. Also it shows Davis that the organization is serious about trying to secure talent around him which will be huge if they hope to retain him when he will become a free agent in the near future.
The scariest thing for them is if Boogie does not sign an extension as he did make it clear that he wouldn't sign one if he was traded for.
