Wouldn't surprise me THAT much.
I don't think much of Chicago's offense. Sosa got the big homer last night, but he was slumping before that. And I was SHOCKED when Alex (Cubs) Gonzalez hit that homer. He's been awful since the All-Star break. I really don't think Chicago is gonna score 8 runs again.
Florida doesn't have Wood/Prior, but their pitchers are solid. And their defense is SICK! You've got Pudge behind the plate, and did you see Alex (Fish) Gonzalez? Two amazing defensive plays that changed the game.
Sure, the Marlins don't have any stars on offense, other than Pudge (and maybe Lowell, but he is a question-mark due to injury). However, they don't have any chumps on offense either (unlike the Cubs). Lots of decent hitters, lots of speed, and they're gonna put the ball in play. If you keep putting the ball in play, you're gonna get some breaks.
I know Prior/Wood have been dominating, but the Cubs probably need near-perfect games from them. And you can't expect that EVERY game. I think some people automatically assume that Prior/Wood are gonna go 4-0 against the Fish. For example, look @ Pedro. Oakland didn't have a great offense, but they still managed to score some runs off Pedro.
Unless Sosa reverts back to Sammy Sosa 1998, I think the Fish win in 6-7 games.
