I was doing my weekly stat. crunching last night and came across Boise St. vs. Idaho. I took Boise and bought the half point to -21. Anyone have a take on this game?

Sure DO!

A guy by the name of DaVe Cookin is Brilliant with this team. I really don't know why? He has them this weekend as one of his top plays. With this being the case I really don't think the 1/2 point will come into play! Thanks goes out to winkyduck for bringing this play to us with his post.

GOOD LUCK!

I have a take on it. Boise St aka. the spread destroyers won their games last year with the avg final score coming out to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 51.3-13.9. They are a college team playing high school teams up there. Take them and run with it while you can, before their lines become 30-35 by the end of the season.

I know you are Rebel trash but I feel I could help you out with this one. LOL. Just kidding, good luck to you.

I did well with Boise last year. They lost alot of starters on offense from last year, but the defense looks solid again. Idaho lost to E. Wash last week 5-8. What the hell was that? Boise rolled 62-0 last week. I just hope this isn't a trap, is so, I'm caught!

FHI THIS IS CKO BY GOLDSHEET'S TOP PLAY FOR THIS WEEK. HERE IS THEIR ANALYSIS!

11 BOISE STATE over *Idaho
BOISE STATE 47 - *Idaho 13
With these two programs heading in opposite directions, compelled to lay reasonable number with still-hot Boise State squad (riding 12-game win streak) that is loaded with playmakers-on both sides of ball. Broncos pinpoint passing QB Dinwiddie (68% last 1+), speedy sr. RB Mikell (5.8 ypc), and rest of arsenal should have their way all day vs. undersized, juco-laden Idaho “D” unable to slow down Washington State’s (stayed vanilla with Notre Dame on deck) basic, straight-ahead runs plays, giving up 339 YR in 50 totes in opening day 25-0 shutout. More bad news on other side for moribund Vandal “O,” which has yet to score a TD. Idaho’s stilllearning soph QB Michael Harrington will hardly resemble brother Joey (starting QB for Detroit Lions) vs.swarming, sure-tackling Bronco “D” that has yielded a meager 7 ppg over last 7 contests. BSU a profitable 22-7 as chalk last 3+ yrs. Broncos will probably have more than half the fans!

Idaho's offense has been horrible (They only scored points against measly Eastern Washington and two points were scored by the defense) and their defense has surprisingly played well this season. The Vandals receivers are terrible. They drop just about everything thrown. The RB, Shaw looks good. If Idado replaces Harrington with Lindgren, the senior QB, who should be starting anyway and stick with a conservative game plan of running the ball, they could get the cover as I am not sold on Boise's run defense. Boise is explosive and if Harrington starts and trys to air it out, this will get ugly. Thus, this game depends on what the Idaho gameplan will be. If Harrington starts, then Boise should cover easily.

ISU message board indicates that Lindgren has back spasms. I can't confirm.
Cable is in the last year of a contract, and looks to be heading out the door--does he try to sell himself and Harrington as the future of the program?

Hawkins has no trouble running up the score as Iowa State bettors know from last year.

Is this still a rivarly game:

"There is a tremendous amount of alumni that are emotionally tied to this thing, as well as faculty and staff. It’s still a bitter rivalry.”

BSU COACH DAN HAWKINS

and:
"They’re so far below us on the scale there’s no way we should let down and give up a loss. ... Idaho’s not even a rival to us anymore; it’s just a game we can’t lose. We really want to pound those guys the most we can. Fresno … that’s real football.”

RYAN DINWIDDIE Senior quarterback, Elk Grove, Calif.

I say lay it with confidence.

I find it interesting this game is being played at Washington State (Pullman). Anyone know why.....Also, BSU, which covered 10 of 13 games last year, did not cover at home against Idaho.

WC-
WSU has let Idaho use Pullman stadium for a "home" game before. They end up getting some of the gate & Idaho gets to bring more fans. I think WSU once played Idaho at Pullman as an "away" game! Any way I say boise state wins big> Dinwidde the QB will have a field day
Go Broncos!

This game is being played in the kibbie dome this weekend according to the reports here in Spokane. Nonetheless, Idaho is the worst team in D1, Idaho defense is not good, WSU did what ever they wanted as noted above kept it vanilla. EWU is D1A, replaced a ton of people on offense nad has very little yet managed to move the ball on Idaho. Cabel will be gone at the end of the year if not sooner, Many in this Area are still trying to figure out what the hell he is doing with Harrington. I have heard nothing of Lindgren having any injury, Cable did say in the local papaers her will get more time this week....BOL...Play BSU -21.5
