BTW-- i have called BODOG on sebveral times and they have let me listen to the entire phone conversations, both time it went in my benbefit and it was corrected. IF you were quoted 3 1/2, I'm sure they will adjust.

these books can be sneaky, i play about 3 to 5 dimes a game in the nba and more than once a certain book has tried to cahnge the line on my readback, ie i say what is the line on the indiana and they say -3 so i say give me 5 dimes on indiana and on the readback they try to sneak indiana -3.5, i have caught them a couple of times and told them the second time if they do it again i'll make sure all the forums hear about it and they have not tried it since.

The man got screwed over that line no if buts or advertisers about it... Illini what you need to do is call them back up and tell them you want to listen to that tape when you called in....They're supposed to have it, let them pull it and that will settle the issue my man..

Whatever he quoted you, the readback is what counts. If that number was no good, you should have cancelled then. You didn't though; you accepted the wager at -3.
I had a similar thing happen on a superbowl prop last weekend. I take a prop, and my ticket shows a different number from what I was told. I complain, and they offer to cancel. You had a choice - IN-3 or pass. You had that choice no matter what was said earlier.
If this happened more than once, I'd seriously complain. But from what you told me, I think you're out of line bitching to the forums.

You have become a victim of the famous DUAL LINE treatment. Bodog is known for this, as is Bowmans and one or two others. Your juice is really 28c and the worst part is they don't tell you up front. They are as secretive as possible because if everyone knew about this practice their business would surely decline.
I personally stay away from these shops and I recommend others to do the same. Why pay 28c juice when there are others out there offering 10c????

I don't know what to think. They listened to the tape and corrected it for me, so it seemed like an honest mistake. This is the first problem I've had, and they took care of it, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. It seemed fishy at the time, but who knows. I'm not going to pull all my money out or anything though.

The honest mistake was first thinking you get line 1 and then realizing line 2 is for you. They honored the tape which is good but you will notice that in the future the line you will be offered will not match the Rx livelines display. And this is not because there is a mistake in the feed. If you are a sucker and bet the favorites regularly, you will get the lines on the livelines board, but if you are smart and take advantage of their nice dog lines, you will get a not-so-nice line quoted to you on the phone. I am personally very much bothered when a book (or any business for that matter) advertises one price but actually offers another. If you are not bothered by this, then by all means continue to play there. Just be aware that this stuff is happening to you.
