Bodog has 2 different lines on tonights game

The +6 -115 on line services such as the one
on this site and fast odds and the one when
you go to Bodog directly which is +5. I am now
convinced that Bodog places a cookie on your
computer which tells them which odds to display. I am getting 5 without logging in but
because I have a Bodog acount the site is alerted that I am viewing it from the cookie.

I bet oakland at 5 1/2 and logged back on it say +5 now but on live lines it says 6 1/2

Does not surprise me that BoDog is dishing two sets of lines. Give them credit for their software?

bodog moves their lines all the time... this shouldnt be a suprise.

The software that displays the lines elsewhere has a delay period where it needs to update.

People have asked this question before but noone resolved it.

I am still convinced this is all it is.

I used to have a Bodog account, but I got tired of all their bullshit. You're correct about their "tagging" of clients preferences, but the way they delay payment is the worst!

STAY AWAY FROM BODOG....PERIOD. There are plenty of other sportsbooks out there that will treat you properly...they just don't offer you a 25% bonus on every deposit.

How much a delay. I have a seen a liveline there for an hour sometimes that is different
on their website. I don't know exactly how the
line service get the numbers. I'm going to try
to log in using my dial-up and then use my cable modem. They have 2 different IP addresses. My dial up is MSN and my cable modem
is Cox. I'm going delete the BoDog cookie and
see if it displays two different numbers.

I am getting tired of this. Use lower limits
but deal everyone the same number. By the way
SIA doesn't deal different numbers. Their liveline and actual number are always the same.

They are doing it again tonight it looks like with the College game. I looked at live lines on the Prescription and saw 14, I logged in to BoDog and got 13.5. So I delted all of my temp files and cookies and went back to BoDog without being logged in and checked the line, it is 14. Immediatley i logged into my account and it gave me 13.5. What a bunch of crap.

I guess they can run their business however they like and I can take my business wherever I like. I will just wait and use it to my advantage one of these days.

Sorry man I looked over all the lines they have listed and they all match.

I hate to find myself in a position defending them all the time but I hate to see accusations that cant be substantiated being thrown around.

I'm not saying that maybe one line update wasn't delayed here and there - and if you want to draw the conclusion that bodog has black helicopters circling your house - you are certainly free to do that.

To me however, I see this as a simple technology lapse - as much as you people want to rant - noone has proved anything other than that mabye the so called "live" lines services arent as instant as they are advertised to be.

For the record - as of 2:22PM the Virginia tech line is listed on bodog and on the live lines service paid for by theRX at 14.

Jaypaw, I only became aware of different lines when in was brought up in this thread. I have simply verified it today. If you are around, let me know. We can both go to BoDog at the same time log in and then report what lines they have for the college game tonight and tomorrow. Because I just checked and they are both different for me from the live lines. I am not one to think that technology or a time lapse is not to blame, but it is not in this case.

Also you do not have to be logged into BoDog to get their lines. They are always live, even to people who are not their clients.

I've used BoDog from time to time and never had one ounce of trouble with them ...... found their payouts via direct deposit to be VERY quick

SIA is a different story ....
they take forever to credit wins ... they never used to put lines up as quick as other books -- I would never do business with them again ...

As of 3:55, Live Lines shows BoDog as having, this was also confirmed by another site that runs live lines..

I am saying they are dishing two different lines. They have their public line and then a line for some of their other players. The Ga Tech I am seeing at 2.5, you are seeing it at 3. That is a big .5 point.

What I am saying is go to BoDog right now and log in and tell me what lines you get on the two college games for today and tomorrow. I am telling you my lines are different because they know my preferences to play dogs and under with them.

You said no one has proved anything to you other than the live lines are behind. That is not the case, it is two different lines being dealt.

It's a fact. They have two different lines. If you go to their site and look at live lines they are the same as the RX live lines. When I first opened an account there I was given the same lines as the live lines. After seeing me bet dogs they changed my profile and I receiver different lines now. They have two lines, this has been well documented here at the RX several times in the past year.
