Bobby Valentine is in demand again.
After one failed season managing the Red Sox, the former Mets manager may be taking an unexpected career turn, and is viewed as one of the candidates to become the new athletic director at Sacred Heart University, according to the Connecticut Post.
Valentine, a Stamford native, visited the campus in Fairfield two weeks ago, according to a source.
The 62-year-old was fired by the Red Sox on Oct. 4 and had spent the previous two years working as an analyst for ESPN.
