The Mets paid Bobby Bonilla a 4th installment of $1,193,248.20 yesterday. They owe him that amount every July 1st thru 2035. He is the 12th highest paid Mets player on the team's 2014 payroll.

Very smart of his agent.
That means he won't go broke until at least July the 2nd, 2035.

NBA players should do this

Mets thought they were getting the better end of the deal because they were making so much money with Madoff when this deal was signed.

But Chop....

If Bobbie would have taken cash for all that back when..... he could probably still buy two decafs and a roll of breath mints by now?

It would be much cheaper and smarter for the Mets to just have him offed. I am sure the top brass know people. There are trillions of dollars thrown away for nothing.

Wasn't his agent. Was his ex-wife that insisted on this. They got divorced a few years back, but she is hella smart.
