Bob Hope was truly an American classic.

If they ever make an American Hall of Fame, Mr. Hope is a sure lock to get in on the first ballot.

Jazz - It's part of life but I know what you mean.

The fact that he wanted to be older than his Grandfather who died shortly before his 100th birthday...makes Hope's story even more magical.

To make it to 80 is great...90 is Fantastic...but 100 is like...unreal.

HOPE was the consummate American and probably the most respected individuals due to his generous causes . However , not to smudge the guy , He often seemed like a closet HOMO . Get some old videos and watch his slight mannerisms ( very efemminite ). Having said that , I'd still laugh at his jokes .

kimchee, clean up fella. homo and a long time wife don't fit here. thanks for the opinion, but you are way out of line here. and i repeat about class again. bob hope was. my gramps saw him overseas in ww2. drank a beer with the man. hope is the meaning of red white and blue. i wrestled in college and so did he. i don't see a fag bone in this mans body. only positive. helps others. clean up pal. just my opinion.

I did not read all the responses in this thread but... I would like to say, that I for one will miss Bob Hope. He brought laUGHTER ..... which everyone needs in their life..... especially in timers of chaos......Sorry for being sorrrry.
