Let's say you were out house hunting...

You came across this house that was being foreclosed. It may be 10 percent undervalued, although it needs some work.

The question is:

If you knew that by buying this house you'de be forcing a 55 year old lady who lost her husband, thus the house payment, a year ago out... Would that bother you?

Except that the buyer, regardless of who it is, isn't forcing the lady out of her house. Her bank is, presumably because she failed to make payments on the house. Her getting the boot is not contingent on the bank finding a buyer.

Quick non-bleeding-heart-related question: what are you hearing about how much of the load Onterrio Smith will be getting this weekend? Think he might get as much as 50%? I can't decide if I should start him or not (deep league.) Thanks.

House buying rarely gets people involved with either side except at the signing, unless the sale is an FSBO. There are good reasons for this from both sides of the deal. Personally no, I don't believe there is any issue with this. You either can or can't handle your debts and have to deal with the consequences. Besides if I don't buy the house out of sympathy surely someone else will.

Funny that some use the term "bleeding heart" to try to imply that there is something wrong with being compassionate.

Perhaps even funnier is that a lot of those same people would call themselves rednecks without realizing it's a derogatory term.

Unrealistic or just plain old stupid compassion is the same as a bleeding heart. Doesn't Kerry have three of those too?

Compassion is stupid? Perhaps you could run for dictator of some small, underdeveloped nation.

thanks for replying wildbill.

x, I wish I could help with your dilemna as well, but I have no idea what the Vikes have in store for the Cowboys. I like Ferrotte at quarterback though, but hopefully Dante will pull his head out this year.
