Blake Griffin ran roughshod over the Pacers frontcourt on Monday, racking up a career-high 47 points on 19-of-24 FGs and 9-of-11 FTs. He added 14 rebounds for his 27th consecutive double-double.
Griffin angered the Lakers by being too relentless and physical on Sunday, and he's all but engraved his name on the ROY award at the season's midway point. This dominant performance marks a new single-game scoring high for the NBA this season, and the solid FT shooting is just the icing on the cake. Kevin Love has been snubbed for now, but he very well could be Yao Ming's injury replacement. LaMarcus Aldridge also has a legitimate case for that spot, along with Monta Ellis and Steve Nash. The only questionable selection on the West is Tim Duncan, who is averaging career lows across the board. The rest of the West reserves: Pau Gasol, Russell Westbrook, Manu Ginobili, Dirk Nowitzki and Deron Williams. Feb. 3 - 6:50 p.m. ET
