Ah yeah I wish I there this weekend Greenbacks.

Yeah, the place ain't pretty. And I'm assuming that the Preakness might be moving to Laurel in the near future.

But this would be a mistake IMO. Pimlico has a real cool vibe on Preakness weekend.

I always took the light rail up from downtown Baltimore and then a bus through a neighborhood straight out of the TV show The Wire.

Never felt any danger thought. In fact, the locals were quite welcoming and eager to put their unique entrepreneurial skills to work.

Long live Pimlico! At least for one weekend of the year.

I'll be there tomorrow. Watch the other two races from Laurel and don't see how it could handle the preakness even with the renovations though.

Haha, Jai-Alai, was yuuuuuge in CT from the 70's through the early 1990's. We had three active Frontons, and that's where I got my start too. My buddies and I used to pool our money and spend $ 6 on a three team quinella box.

The Indian Casinos killed them. The last time I went to Jai-Alai, it was pathetic. Attendance would be like 100, trifecta pools would have like a total of $ 600 in it, there would be teams with NO place or show action.

It was a sad day for me, the end of an era
