A CNN political commentator has found himself in hot water for calling a fellow panelist a 'mediocre Negroe'.
The words - which some Trump supporters branded 'racist' - came out as Hill was criticizing Family Fued host Steve Harvey for meeting with Trump in a debate on CNN on Monday.
'I love Steve Harvey and I have respect for Steve Harvey and I think his intentions were appropriate, but my disagreement is the way in which he’s being used by folk like Donald Trump,' Hill said.

He continued: 'They keep bringing up comedians and and actors athletes to represent black interests. It’s demeaning, it’s disrespectful, and it’s condescending. Bring some people up there with expertise Donald Trump, don’t just bring up people to entertain.'
That's when Bruce LeVell, a member of Trump's diversity team, jumped into the debate.
'You weren't even there,' LeVell said. 'Pastor Darryl Scott, Mike Cohen, they are in the process of bringing all types of people from all over the country, from all different backgrounds. Remember the diversity coalition where we reached out to all different types of people?'
Hill responded: 'Yeah, it was a bunch of mediocre Negroes being dragged in front of TV as a photo-op for Donald Trump’s exploitative campaign against black people. And you are an example of that.'
It was the term 'mediocre Negroes' that caused the backlash against Hill.
On Twitter, users called the comments 'racist,' 'disgraceful,' and 'unacceptable'.

I have despised Lamont Hill for several years now.

And Steve Harvey is funny as Hell. You can tell a comic is good when they're making fun of someone you support politically and you're still ROTCFL (rolling on the car floor laughing). His Trump mimics during the election cycle were hilarious.

Steve Harvey is an author, host, comidian, producer, success. MLHill is a college prof who poisons the minds of teenagers. Fuck him!

Doesn't happen anymore. There has been a token on TV shows since the 80s. I have 2 young kids and every single kids show on the various kids networks BARELY has a white kid on it.....unless they are gay or a woman.

Why is he racist? He is merely stating facts, generally speaking. If I say 13% of our population makes up 50% of the welfare trash, does that make me racist because this 50% is black? A huge misrepresentation of the national norm.
