Have any of you ever played BJ BLITZ in the casino?

If not, it is huge BJ machine that mimmicks the real thing.....very realistic.......and BEATABLE TO A SMALL EXTENT.

It is a great way for a person that may have never played blackjack at the real tables to get their feet wet and not be rushed or embarrassed by other players.

But the best thing is that is a fully beatable game if coupled with a very good slot card.

The game has different variations on what you are allowed to do such as being able to double down after splitting, resplitting aces, and most importantly being able to double down at anytime.

The have a few versions that with perfect strategy return 99.8% and couple that with a slot card that adds 0.25-1.00% cash back and you have an easy and relaxing beatable game longterm.

The LV HILTON used to have the game in their sportsbook and it was perfect in the fact you could watch your favorite game and at the sametime pick up a few extra bucks playing BJ BLITZ. The Hilton slot card was not only good for cashback, but by playing $10-20 a hand for a couple hours you could also score a nice $30 food comp.

So anyway, if you ever see a BJ BLITZ and you know PERFECT BJ startegy, give it a whirl.

PS- You can bring a BJ strategy card right to the game if you would like.......the casinos really dont care. Just dont make it look obvious.

What made me think of BJ BLITZ today was the thread about DEADWOOD.

In Deadwood, at DEADWOOD DICKS SALOON, they had a great version of the game that was terrific!!

Here is a picture of that game at Dicks Saloon........

Fish, you forgot one major point. It was very profitable when it was dealing from a Single Deck.

Now most, at least the one at Hilton, deals from 4D. Which makes it barely break even. Playing for comps is a no no in my book. unless you are accustomed to the swings, I would not suggest it thinking it is comp cow.

Yeah, I havent played the one at the Hilton for over 2 years.....figured they would change it.

It used to be worth around $12-15 an hour in cash and another $13-17 an hour in comps per hour as I recall. Been awhile, dont remember the exact payback.

Like I said, I enjoyed playing it while watching the games and grinding out a small profit.

BJ Blitz at the Rio used to be a nice game to grind out comps(I used to play it for 5-8 hours a day and they would give me a masquerede suite and RFB) and cashback but they got rid of it. Bally's used to also have one downstairs by the stores. They eventually added decks to the game therefore making the game less attractive.

From what I understand the game got sold and the rules got changed. The reason why it never did well was because the hold was so low compared to the dime a dozen BJ games around, mostly on the Game Kings which all pay even money on blackjacks. The new incarnations have lousy rules. There still might be a handful of old games out there for some time, but any new versions will be from Shufflemaster with the video "dealer" who talks and all.
