"Bitcoin has had at least 3 bubbles already yet the clowns still scream "tulips" as if it was like the tulip bubble that never came back.

Here's a chart I prefer to use, and profit with. I guess some people are just not wired for risk and thus are not wired to make money."

Spoken like someone with a significant investment in BTC (and at probably more than today's selling price of $300 give or take).

"Some people are just not wired to make money", ha like the ones who piled into BTC at >$1,000?

PP, WU, MG and Bank Wires are money transfer systems and do not have floating prices that investors speculate on (granted the underlying currencies DO fluctuate)

Hey dude, if you want to delude yourself (and others) that a string of code on a computer is a "commodity" then that's great. I have some terrific Madoff backed securities that you might want to buy, they pay 12% a year! Oh wait, that's Allan Stanford backed securities,…oh wait that's WSEX deposits,…oh wait,…….

There's always some clown riding high on a Ponzi that has no problem taking the other chumps with him, it's called the "greater fool theory". Don't know who the greater fool is? It's probably you!

If you think an investment that has turned $1200 into $300 in 10 short months is something to invest in, great go for it! :)

nope I don't hold any btc at current, just think you're a prick.

And if you don't see the value in its use as a money transfer till, you're a fool too.

I actually have to admit that i DID buy some bitcoin at over $1,000 but at that price it was just a few since I first started buying at $300. I could tell in the last few weeks that when the price went from $680 to $500 that it was on its way down so I started selling then. I sold my last at $400.

I plan on buying soon and will post here when I do.

Yes, I do.

Bitcoin went from $30 to less than $10 in the summer of 2011.
It went from $170 to $75 in April of 2013.
It went from $1100 to less than $400 in the first part of 2014.
It went from $700 to less than $400 just recently.

Aren't you tired of being wrong over and over and over again while it just keeps rebounding?

Some people never learn.

Hey bud, I get that you want to believe. I wish you well, I really do. I hope BTC goes back to $1200 next week and you get your money back. I also hope the Jaguars make it to the SB this year (2500 to 1)

At some point, though, you have to accept the reality that your "investment" is really a hi tech game of musical chairs. Don't be standing admiring yourself when the music stops

Best of luck

The only thing that rubs me the wrong way about everfresh's comments on BTC is that he seems genuinely happy about other people here at the RX losing $

Thanks Rory. I'll bump this thread in 6 months and we'll see how things have gone between now and then.

Just out of curiosity, how is warning people on this board not to buy into a ponzi being "genuinely happy about other people…losing money"? I'm WARNING people not ENCOURAGING people to buy into this shit.

Don't take my word for it, read this excellent article on Slate, (is the author "genuinely happy about other people losing money" too?
