Birdman Movie Review

Saw Birdman this afternoon. Great movie!! I had no idea Edward Norton was in it. Awesome performances by him and Michael Keaton. In depth characters, funny, and just a very well done movie. A must see for anyone who enjoys truly good movies that aren't the usual cookie cutter bullshit Hollywood spits out every week.

Just decent. Definitely a weak best picture winner

The cinematography was excellent. It is just 1 continuous scene and they only took something like 6 cuts the entire movie but the actual storyline didn't do a ton for me.

2/10 for me. I can't believe it won best picture. Dumb and Dumber to was the worst movie I seen all year until Birdman.

I love Michael Keaton, he will always be Batman for me... Bale never owned the part like Keaton did. He is dark with a funny twist, Bale was only dark, his funniest line was when he joined tables with Maggie Gyllenhal and Harvey Dent cause he owned the restaurant. Keaton had a bunch.

Cinematography was off the charts, I love Ed Norton as well, one of my faves... and looking at Emma Stone is always nice.

I give the film a solid 8. Have not seen all nominees to say it was the outright winner but I think year after year the Oscars are weaker because Hollywood itself has been getting caught in a mediocre trend, especially the last 6-8 years.

I loved that as well, hearing voices, sounds familiar, one could identify himself lol.

Are you still acting Judge? I've been wanting to try that out since my band dismembered... any acting classes you would recommend? A friend of mine is a prominent artist and has a film in his mind with me portraying a psycho exconvict...

Boyhood started off good but was kinda boring. 5.5/10
Birdman painful to watch. 2/10. Just didn't work for me. I am glad some of you enjoyed it. Not sure why but everyone has their own taste. It reminded me of Noah that came out early in 2014. Great cast .. Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins and Jennifer Connelly. What a horrible movie also.

I liked Whiplash slightly better than Birdman. Very close. Both great in their own way.

99% of the people I know that seen Birdman hated it. I am not judging you. in 1998 I would have voted for big lebowski or saving private ryan and you would have voted for shakespeare in love which ended up winning.

only explaination about Birdman is you must have been high. :toast:

It's kind of difficult to respect the opinion of anyone who would even consider seeing any of the Dumb and Dumber movies.
