Though citing the dissatisfaction of the team's fans over a third consecutive 7-9 season, Wilson elected to retain Jauron and the entire coaching staff, believing the team is "better served by continuity in the coaching staff rather than a disruptive overhaul."
The decision was released in a three-paragraph statement issued by the Bills, and came shortly after Jauron met with Wilson at the owner's home in suburban Detroit. Wilson did not say whether Jauron received a contract extension beyond next season. Jauron had completed his initial three-year contract after this season, and kept his job despite the team losing eight of its final 10 games after a 5-1 start.

Nice job Ralph :ohno: wish we could fire the owner. How Dick keeps his job is beyond me, and the whole coaching staff stays? lol

Mr Wilson is a cheap motherfucker, thats how.

I am done with this team--I go to ESPN and I see that Shanahan loses his job and below it Jauron loses his....go figure. Sounds like all assitants will be retained-EVEN worse. 2 FGs in their last 3 home games and Ralph wants continuity!!!

Woeful Bills Are Slowly Disintegrating

You know the phones that are ringing off the hook at One Bills Drive? That's the Rogers' Corporation begging Ralph Wilson's entourage to expedite their relocation to the "Great White North!" That's because the Buffalo Bills are one of the worst teams in the NFL, and if Toronto fans continue to be exposed to their artificial product, soon they will join Jacksonville in having 8 blackouts a season!
The Bills have stats this season that would make Ralph Wilson Sr. and/or Edward Rogers roll in their graves! Marshawn Lynch, the California Golden Bear who was supposed to replace Willis McGahee, is tied for 45th in the league with 254 yards at a paltry average of 3.2. Just to give you an indication of how pathetic that is, Tashard Choice and Correll Buckhalter are averaging over 4.5 with roughly the same range of attempts. Tashard Choice is a 4th rounder who was only playing because of injuries occurring to Marion Barber and Felix Jones, while Correll Buckhalter is an injury-prone veteran who is regarded as more of a special teams' type player.Heck, Larry Johnson was averaging 2.9 yards a carry, and he's sitting on the couch just like the rest of us nowadays.
In respect to Lynch, he has been sharing touches with Fred Jackson. But that is only because Jackson has leapfrogged him on the depth chart. That's right, the same Fred Jackson who played in Indoor Football Leagues from 04-05, before a riveting stint in NFL Europe!
Of course the Bills' ineptitude stretches the entire spectrum, as they rank 29th in Offense, 26th in Defense, 29th in Passing, and the list goes on and on. But more dejecting than their stats, is the overall management of the season. Every week gives an opportunity for opposing teams, their media, and their fan base to laugh at us.
In the first week it was surrendering 2 touchdowns in the final two minutes, which included the infamous fumble by Leodis McKelvin (who has since been lost for the season). In the 5th week, it was the fumble by Roscoe Parrish, which resulted in a loss to the inept Browns (Parrish has since lost his return job and has been inactive in recent weeks). This week against the Titans, it was giving up 24 points in the 4th quarter, which included an interception from Trent Edwards. At that point the game was already lost, but an irked Dick Jauron did not hesitate to clean a spot for Edwards to sit on the bench!
The point is the Bills are a very dysfunctional team. They lack unity, leadership, and proficiency in their on-field product. The fans will continue to support the team, but only because they don't know any better (me included). Even Dick Jauron, a man who is usually stoic at press conferences, is showing clear disgruntlement at his team's B product.
The '10 season is not far enough in the minds of Bills' fans. A 4-12 season looms, as well as the firing of Jauron. But one player, be it Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow or Russell Okung, cannot fix this team. The Bills clearly need to sign some free agent offensive lineman, a linebacker or six, in addition to drafting a corner and a QB.
So I guess I'm saying it will be a long, cold winter in Upstate NY. But hey, it could be worse.....We could be the Lions!
