Fans probably won't be throwing any more sex toys on the field after this punishment
If you have a sudden urge to throw a sex toy on the field the next time you're at an NFL game, don't do it, because it could lead to a harsh punishment.
Two fans in Buffalo found that out this week after the Bills banned them for life from the team's home games following a crazy stunt they pulled during a Week 4 gameagainst the Patriots.
Basically, here's what happened: A fan smuggled a sex toy into New Era Stadium and then threw it on the field during the third quarter. The sex toy, shaped like a piece of the male anatomy, landed on the field and was shown on live television.
Even Tom Brady noticed it.
"I thought it was funny the ref didn't want to pick it up," Brady said. "He was kicking it. Nobody wanted to reach down and grab it."
Brady was asked about the sex toy because the fan wrote Brady's name on it
After an investigation coordinated by the Bills, VP of Operations and Guest Experience Andy Major announced the punishment Wednesday. Major says there were two throwers (many people thought there was only one) and both would be banned for life.
"Luckily nobody was hurt, none of our players stepped on it and blew their knee out," Majors told WBEN-AM in Buffalo.
The Bills haven't made the playoffs in 17 years, so maybe being banned for life isn't such a bad thing.
