LA ANGELS 9 RUNS SEATLLE MARINERS
Seattle features pitcher Carlos Silva who is without question one of the worst starters in the majors, and is as close to an automatic fade if there ever was one.
2008 Silva was a God awful 4-15 with a dreadful 6.46 ERA.
His ratio last season was an even 1.60 which translates into 15 baserunners a game.
In his first start this season Silva got rocked, hard!
5 innings pitched, 8 hits, 1 walk, 2 HR's, 6 earned against Minnesota.
If the Mauerless Twinkies can do that, think what that Angel lineup can do?
Let's examine past history shall we?
Overall this current Angel lineup hits .337 (59-175) against him lifetime, with a .372 OBA against. That's just sad.
Figgins hit .355 against Silva (11-31)
Get this, Bobby Abreu is .643 (9-14)
Mike Napoli hit .500
Howie Kendrick is a ridiculous 5-7 lifetime against the human hit machine, that's .714
Conversely the Angels feature Shane Loux, by all means wll never be the next Bob Gibson.
For those unfamiliar, Loux is a journeyman AAAA type pitcher, not quite MLB material, better than AAA minors.
Not a strike out pitcher, must keep the ball down, but he doesn't miss enough bats.
Loux walks one in three innings, and allowed 72 hits in 60 innings last season.
Every number here indicates an easy over 9.
I may add a small Angel play later but for now it's........
Over 9 total runs in this game for me.
3* please
As per usual thank you for taking the time to read this, and as always, may all your tickets get cashed.
