At least Lambieer has found something he can do... he couldn't play center in the NBA worth a damn. Couldn't jump or play D.

I'd crack up when Laimbeer would move outside for that jumper (I use the term loosely) with his two inch vertical. LOL. I know some don't like him but he got a lot of his talent, especially considering he didn't have any to speak of....

He was one of those guys you love to hate. I can still see him when he got called on a foul. He'd twist that face up and cry like a little baby.

Yeah, but McIrish, he and Isiah were the heart and sole of that team and they kept all those characters (Salley and Rodman) in line and focused.

Charlie - no argument here sir. Maybe it wasn't clear enough but I had respect for the guy and what he did on the court. They had several malcontents that somehow stuck together through someone's efforts. We know of Sally and Rodman but Dantley was no angel either. Neither was Mahorn.

I give Dumars and the coach a lot of the credit too but no doubt Laimbeer/Thomas were the leaders. I always believed the "bad boys" were big time over-achievers, just was an easy team to hate for me.

Mark Aguirre and James "Budda" Edwards were also two big goofs. Coach Chuck Daly certainly had quite a bunch of different personalities to deal with. That was one of the NBAs most colorful teams.

I remember when he got punched by Parrish, and Bird and Barkley (not in the same game of course). I also remember Thomas taking more than 60 stitches over the eye from a Karl Malone forearm as he drove to the basket.

Billy is from the neighborhood, I play tennis with Billy, Billy played HighSchool Tennis at Palos Verdes high School. Billy is also the best golfer of any nba player except for Danny Ainge, who happens to be my 2nd favorite nba player. I liked it when Billy close lined Larry Bird, that was cool.

Robert Parish, the quietest, mellowist
guy in the NBA, finally had enough of
Bill - and punched him in the face.

I loved it.

Laimbeer also would have had the NBA ironman record for consecutive games played if not for getting suspended one game. Much tougher thing to accomplish than Cal Ripken's streak. Laimbeer once even played with a separated shoulder!

Compare this to that drugged up pussy Jeff Smoker who's nursing a stubbed big toe.

Bird and Laimbeer got into it real good one time too.

While Laimbeer was a tough guy who could rebound and was probably a good guy to have on your team, I lost respect for the guy when against the Knicks he tried to take out Ewing's knees - totally lost respect for the guy and I even hated the Knicks. He may be the biggest cheap shot artist of all time.

I was at the game in Orlando when Laimbeer dominated shaq for 48 minutes. 1991 pistons is best team ever.
