I know we are only i month and a week into the season but there are some unexpected surprises thus far,......here are mine,......so what do you see as surprising so far in MLB
NY YANKEES-I for one didn't expect them to be leading the east at all
TAMPA BAY- I expected them to be holding up the bottom
BOSTON-I expected them to be a top the division
BALTIMORE-never thought they would be playing this bad

MINNESOTA-did not see them as being a team to worry about but they sit in 3rd place 2.5 out
CLEVELAND- i expected much,much more out of this team and here they sit in last place at 10-17

HOUSTON- they were slowly building a nice team at the end of last year but no way did i see this coming from them.the most surprising team so far.
SEATTLE-big disappointment from a team that picked up a few free agents who were supposed to get them over the hump this year,.....well they sit in last place.
LA ANGELS-it seems like every other year they go into the tank,the trend is going i good year,then one lousy year,can't figure this team out.

NATIONAL LEAGUE
NEW YORK METS-we or most of us felt like they would be a improvement this season but they really shot out of the gait.They seem to be cooling off a bit now so we will see which direction they go.
WASHINGTON-huge disappointment for sure.this team was thought to run away from start to finish and yet they sport a losing record,..go figure

STL CARDINALS-well like the METS they have zoomed out of the gait and the only difference is,they are still going strong.STL is always a team you can count on,but nobody really knew how good they were going to be.I for one never doubt this team as they seem to be like the NE PATRIOTS of the NFL,no matter who you put on their team they seem to get the job done,..except the CARDS don't CHEAT,..lol
CHICAGO CUBS-this might not be a surprise to many as it is not to me cause they always had a good hitting club but lacked good pitchinh.So far they sit in 2nd place and doing alright.
PITTSBURGH PIRATES-well nothing new here as they are off to another slow start.The problem here is,no one is hitting the ball consistantly.Cutch is to be still bothered by his knee injury and it shows believe me,so i think they should sit him til he is 100% or its just going to cost the team.J-HAY,who knows whats going on with him,but i am one that watches every game and i see him swinging at some very bad pitches,no discipline at the plate right now,Polanco might have a good avg.but the problem is he gets his numbers when they don't mean much,he is not a clutch hitter right now and the whole team is no hitting period.The pitching is outstanding but if they keep getting overworked then forget about it.

LA DODGERS-Well they have the team with the best talent in either league i believe and they do sit in first place as we speak.Going to be a struggle to beat this team as they don't make many mistakes and take advantage of other teams making them.
SD PADRES-some may be surprised by them being in 2nd place but not me.I liked the moves they made and yes they did start off slow,but after getting used to each other they have now become more laid back and focusing on baseball.
SF GIANTS-for all they have gone through with injuries and so forth they are hanging in there.This is a good club so don't count them out just yet
