So I was just looking at next weeks spreads and I noticed the Baltimore is a 1 point favorite at home against Cleveland. Now I know Cleveland is 0-2 but they have played 2 of the best teams in the league. On the other hand Baltimore is 1-0 and played quite possibly the worst team in the league in Cincy.
Now if you dont think that Cleveland thinks they have to win this game or their season is over is crazy. Baltimore is starting a ROOKIE qb and you never know what else they are going to get from McGahee and others. They do have a good defense but Cleveland has also got a decent defense and should be able to stop Baltimore.
Now can someone please tell me why I shouldnt make Cleveland the largest play I have ever had?? I cant see any reason why Baltimore would win this game?

Look at Romeo on the sidelines- dude doesn't make any decisions- that's like saying you should bet against the Nittany Lions because of Joe Pa. Everyone knows that the coordinators run the x's and o's on those two squads. Be serious here.

Ha didn't think about that....but really the Ravens managed to only score 17 points against the slowest and worst D in the league in Cincy and just dont see the Browns losing the ravens and starting 0-3.:think2:

exactly - they may be overrated, but they aren't 0-3 with a loss to the Ravens of all freaking teams...

people just like the Ravens because they didn't get curb-stomped by the Texans this week like they were going to - lucky.

That actually could be a good reason... at home coming off a bye, now laying less than a FG to really what so far has been an overrated clev team. Clev has not been able to put any points up on the board at all so far this season and I don't trust DA not making a crucial pick in passing situations.. Don't think I could back Cle here.

Baltimore has had two weeks to prepare for this game against a division rival.

Baltimore is at home.

Clevland must be feeling brusied and sore after two tough games.

I would make a play on Clevland, but certainly not make it my largest play ever.

"Now can someone please tell me why I shouldnt make Cleveland the largest play I have ever had??" WhiteChoc

Because you are asking a bad team to win you money, regardless of anything else.

The largest play you've ever had should come on a solid defensive team with a conservative offense, a team that is 2-0, not a defenseless poorly coached, piece of shit team that will shit the bed again and leave you thinking. "Why the fuck did I make a bet on a 0-2 team, those fuckers screwed me."

I like it.

However I think the better play is using the browns in a teaser.

I 6point teased the over from last night at 40.5 with Browns +8
-I see the % of this game end like this...
Browns victory 45%%, Ravens victory up to 8points 50%, Ravens victory over 8points 5%

so I'd tease the browns with something else you like
good luck :103631605

Baltimore plays really well at home.

Also the score to the week 1 game against Cincy was mis-leading. Baltimore totally dominated that game.

Should have been at least 24-3 final.

Derek Anderson sucks. I don't bet on crappy QB's.

pro bowler? im a steelers fan by the way.

as far as the browns go this line surprised me as well. yes, browns are 0-2, but to two quality teams. and people are saying at least the ravens didnt get smothered the first week? of ten, dal, and pit who are the 2 better teams right now? and i also saw a good number of ppl on hou this past week.

Baltimore did NOT have 2 weeks to prepare. They had 1 week to prepare for Houston which they surely used, and then didn't play the game. They didn't know about the cancellation till what? Saturday? So they had basically 9 days to prepare for this game.

It does help IMMENSELY that they are all well rested, still confident and think they can win. Cleveland is downtrodden... This is a layoff game for me, but I think the line is about right and this one is basically a pickem.

Cleveland looked bad, Ravens looked mediocre. Ravens rested, Browns tired. Etc... should be a close low scoring game, just take the under.

So yall have talked me out of making this a huge play but I am definately still going to make it a good size play. Line moving in my favor as well, what are the chances the Browns are +3 by game time?
Browns have Ravens this week and then Bengels next with a bye week following, so I think they are thinking these are 2 must win games that will put them at 2-2 and back in the race.
Also the Ravens have not had 2 weeks to prepare, they have had no more than an extra day or maybe 2. I still think that the past 2 games for the Browns are only going to have made them better in the end. They played 2 really good teams and the Ravens played an awful team in which they put up a measly 17 points. The Ravens are starting a rookie qb and I look for Shaun Rodgers and the boys to get after him and cause turnovers which will lead to a Browns W.

I don't think there is any chance this game will go to 3. I don't like your play.

The extra week off will help Flacco as any extra time will help a rookie QB. The Ravens were banged up coming into this season as Heap, Reed, McAllister, Gregg, Pryce, and others were all hurting - this extra week should allow all of these players to be effective on Sunday.

Ravens are a good home team and their defense is outstanding - how is Cleveland going to score?

I'm probably going to pass on this game but if I made a play it would be on Baltimore.

I think Cleveland wins, but I wouldn't make it the biggest bet of your life. Baltimore isn't a good team and Houston would have killed them (that would have been one of my favorite plays of the year), but the Ravens are at home so a road team winning is never a sure thing.

Like someone has said, the Ravens have not had 2 weeks to prepare like people are mentioning. They had a scheduled game against Houston so they couldn't predict it would get canceled and start preparing for Cleveland. If anything I think they'll be rusty still. A bye week in the middle of the season is refreshing and good for the team. One in the second week doesn't really help them restore their bodies too much and just makes them get back into things a little later.
