Cespedes is going to take his game to the next level in Boston.
Reminds me of when Ortiz left the twins and went to boston

I think Oakland was good enough already to win it all without this trade.
Alteady had plenty pitching.
This was a bad move for Oakland

Good Move now Chavez or Hammel don't need to pitch in the playoffs

Oakland gets a top starter that has shown he can dominate in the post season plus a good clubhouse guy and all it cost them was an overhyped .250 hitter. Beane got the best of this trade

Their problem isn't pitching and Lester is great. They can never hit in the playoffs.

Exactly.
They imploded in the playoffs with Hudson, Mulder, and Zito because they could not hit.
Now they get rid of there #1 power threat.

And baseball is all about getting there.

Once you make the playoffs its a crap shoot.
All you really need to do is get there and hope you get lucky.

The baseball playoffs is almost random.
Any team that makes the playoffs can win it all.

Its not like this is the NBA.

#1 power threat? Hes third on the team in HRs and hes hitting .250.

He has more raw power then anyone in MLB besides maybe Stanton.
Still has a ton of upside.
One of the biggest raw talents in all of baseball.

Watch him become one of the biggest stars in baseball in Boston.

Yes he has talent and potential, but I have a feeling there are character issues and hes a me guy not a team guy.

Ill watch next year, I wont watch another Red Sox game all year now that they traded a homegrown winner.

Wrong.
From all accounts he is the most popular player on the whole team and was considered the team leader.
As a matter of fact many of the players are upset because they lost the most popular player in the locker room due to this trade.

Ces is a good guy on every account.

Cespedes is Free agent after 2015 because he has an opt out clause that allows him to be a free agent and avoid arbitration.

Lester is a free agent in 2 months and will not be back in Oakland next year.

Last I checked Oakland had the #1 starting pitcher ERA in all of baseball before this trade so I don't know what you are getting at.

As a Braves fan I watched all those Maddox, Smoltz, and Glavine teams lose 5 out of 6 WS because they could not hit.

Some of those old sayings people say all the time are wrong.
