Westlake Village Oaks Christian (3-0) at Venice (2-1), 7 p.m., Thursday: Oaks Christian, which took over the top spot in The Times' rankings this week after its impressive 59-13 victory over previous No. 1 Ventura St. Bonaventure, put a lot of thought and preparation into its biggest game in school history, but don't expect the Lions to take No. 22 Venice lightly, especially since the game will be televised live on ESPN2. Venice, which has 17 touchdowns in three games, blew out Los Angeles Loyola, the defending Southern Section Division I champion, 39-14, two weeks ago. The Gondoliers feature a balanced offensive attack led by junior running back Curtis McNeal, who rushed for 282 yards, including touchdowns of 85 and 45 yards, against Loyola. James Hood and Que Sean Gregory are quarterback Richard Ragland's top receivers. The Gondoliers have allowed 67 points, and Oaks Christian has the players to exploit such a weakness. Marc Tyler has rushed for 526 yards and 10 touchdowns, and Jimmy Clausen has thrown for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns. Casey Matthews anchors an Oaks Christian defense that has produced 17 sacks and six interceptions
