Ok I'm making a decision. I am going to be updating the results on Wednesday. Now due to technichal difficulties I'm not sure how many people actually got their plays in, I willl extensively try to back track through threads to find it. Now if over 70% got their plays in then I will count this week. If it's less than that than it's only fair that I disregard this week. I hope EVERYONE understands. Even if you got a great score, you yourself would be upset that you couldn't get your plays in due to technichal difficulties.
I dont agree that it should not be counted.. this was a completely different problem than the first week where you couldnt post and entire threads got deleted. From what I saw this weekend, everyone still could have made a thread with their picks or add them to a thread someone created, and it seemed like most did. Just my take, and I could be wrong...

Week 6 thread had 5 pages and 116 replies, while this weeks had 7 pages and over 160 replies. A lot were double posts because of the technical difficulties, but all those people combined iwth those who created their own threads will definately be well over 70 percent of the people in the contest.

Listen it's not about that it's my contest. It's just doing what I feel is right in the end. If I see that less than 70% of the people were able to get their picks in (70% being people that are actively participating in this contest, I'm not counting the guys with less than 3 points who stopped posting) than I feel I have no choice but to not count the week. I mean say 5 of the top 20 in this contest missed their picks this week, that to me would be a true indicator of the fact that the technical difficulties causing people problems. Anyways I'm going to look at it tomorrow and figure this out.
Stuckinvegas: You my friend a LOSER. You called me out on a scam TWICE. Where do you get this idea from, and why accuse me of something like that. I spend my time 2-3 hours a week just organizing this thing, and I'm giving $1,000 of my own money for free. What do you mean put up $1,000 up front??? I'm going to let someone I know nothing about hold my $1,000???
My only thing is this- I had a great week Week 1 and this week. Week 1, as much as it sucked not to count, I didnt think it was fair at all for it to count because people's posts and threads were getting deleted. Here, people had more than enough time to post, and despite the difficulties it was obvious that they could get their picks in by posting in a new thread or someone that made a new one for the picks. A lot of people, as you can see from the end of the threads, simply said they forgot to post, as not everyone has posted their picks every week. I havent seen anyone speak up to say their picks were deleted or that they were completely unable to post their plays...
I agree with midman that this week should be counted. Plenty of time to get picks in and there were several threads with picks in them that could have been used.

At worst he decides not to pay the winner, and what does that get him? Nothing, so he's not scamming anyone. It would be a scam if you had to pay to get in the contest, but you didn't, he did this because he was being nice and wanted to set something up for the nfl season.

Had some time on my hands so I asked a friend if it were possible to cross reference the standings with people who had posted their plays. He made something up and five minutes later he told med that only 10 out of the top 100 had missed out. I then did a quick check-up on these ten posters and six of them had their picks posted in other threads so really it's ony 4 out of the Top 100 that missed picking.
Counting everyone in the standings it's 108 out of 158 (hasn't bothered checking up on people outside the top 100 if they have posted somewhere else) and six new guys. So if you add the six new posters you get at least 114/164 which equals 70%. Great, huh!

MTRCTYPIMP picked 3 out of 4 and hitting the LOTW, giving him 22 points total, while Mac would benefit from not counting this week, as he got only 1 point this week, or 19 points total.
Either way, too much drama for me to win a few $$$$.

I understand your first statement that your not going to post picks because you arent close to winning, but then you say that its too much drama for you? All youve got to do is post your picks each week. Its not like hes asking for help or anything with the problem, he stated what hes doing so all any1 in the contest has to do is post their picks rite?
A problem that may be an issue is I tried to post my picks a bunch of times and I know I changed a pick after not geting them in. Then all the sudden all my posts showed up so technically I entered 2 different picks if they both showed due to the problems. I'd have to look through the thread to make sure but it was a real pain, hopefully this won't happen this Sunday. Still love the contest though! Whatever Mac wants to do is what should be done.
