The Big 10 gets the trophy this year. The 2 teams that performed the best for them in the bowls also have the two best coaches. I think the Ohio St. and Iowa bowl wins will be a preview of who will dominate that conference next year. The ACC will get a lot of press next year for becoming an official 12 team league. But it will probably be the same big 3 in the end with Fla.St.,Va.Tech and Miami. The SEC was down a bit this year. But i expect that conference to be real strong next year. Especially with Tennessee and Florida, who is returning a good part of their team. And getting an outstanding head coach. It wouldn't surprise me if Meyer won the SEC in his first year. I can't tell you how much I was impressed with Utah last night. They were a very well coached team. The Pac 10 I believe is batting .500 this bowl season. Cal was a big disappointment, but i expect them to be back next year. And USC is still young and loaded. OU is a much more veteran team. I expect the Big 12 to be a little down. Especially on OU's part. Texas has a lot of players returning, but until they get an offensive corrdinator and a QB who can pass they'll probably remain the same old Texas. They do have the guns to win the Big 12. But they'll have to contend with an A&M team who also return a good part of their team and plays Texas at home. And IMO Fran's a better coach. If I had to pick the 2 best conferences next year I would probably have to go with somebody coming out of the Big 10 and a team from the SEC.
