Betting streaks

As we all know, baseball can be fairly unpredictable at times. It is my least followed sport, but have noticed it is extremely streaky. Has anyone ever tried a system something like the following:

If a team wins 4 games in a row, you start betting them and continue to bet them until they lose. So, don't bet them until their 4th straight win, then bet them the 5th game. If they win the 5th, bet them again the 6th and so on until they lose. Upon a loss you would stop betting them.

Then also the opposite of above. If a team loses 4 in a row, you bet against them on their 5th game. If they lose the 5th game, you continue to bet against them until they win.

Just and observation that this may do well in bringing a profit. The only negative I can think towards this system is the lines will get higher and higher the longer you go.

Yes. And the yankees because the orioles have lost 7 in a row. Which I would have started at their 4 loss mark if I was doing this all year.

did a quick search of this I think with mixed results. I just check the month of May. 19-18 off losses, 20-18 off wins. Did not figure in lines but, I believe it wouldn't make much difference either way. I reckon you could go through and check this. It's pretty easy.

Looks like a 2-1 day. I'll post for tracking purposes only. Not saying I played these. Let's just see what happens. I'll use pinnacle lines and all to win one unit.

The only problem I can see in your theory is that as team goes on a winning streak you'll start betting into bad lines, (juiced over the true line). Although the old saying goes there is no bad line as long as it wins.

Baseball is very streaky. I've never actually tracked it but have rode hot streaks/cold streaks before, and will use W/L streak as a last qualifier if I'm debating on a game. If you ride a streak, you can only lose once; try to buck a streak and you can only win once.

You have read my mind. I was using this strategies yesterday and got 4-1 result. I just want to add one thing in this is that you should look the number of winning streak in the past to know where to stop ahead. As we already know they will turn around eventually. Ex. Houston went 5 winning streak max, therefore, today I would leave it alone. However, if they win today, I would bet on the 7 winning streaks. Hope I added something good for ya. BOL guys.

hey bones. If there are two teams that contradict each other then its a no play. Meaning teams playing each other that both have 4+ game winning streak or 4+ game losing streak.
started well yesterday and ended 2-2.

yesterday 2-2 with a tiny profit of +0.20
YTD 7-3 +4.44units

Angels -114. Risk 1.14u to win 1u
Mariners -136. risk 1.36u to win 1u.
Marlins +113. risk 1u to win 1.13u.
