ok pony players

explain a pick 4 or pick 3

if u play a pick 3 and you play 3 horses in each race, u need a winner in all 3 races correct????

is it better to take high favs or mix in match??

for example i played my 1st pick 3 today at los almitos here are my picks

race 2 horses 5-7
race 3 horses 4-5
race 4 horses 2-3-4-5-7-8

so i need the 4-5 horse in race 3 right?

if i hit that what do i do, let it ride - take horse not on my card

im a rookie with this pick 3-4 stuff, help me out

pick 3

Just One of your horses in each race needs to win in order for you to win the pick 3. Just as the name indicates you have to pick 3 (winners) one from each race.

#4 won the forth race so your pick 3 won $67.20, Congrats. Keep it up. JK

could you just not bet every horse in all 3 races and win

i did one last night that was a 196.00 wager and a pick 3, i had about all but one horse in each race. it paid back 398.00. about 2-1 odds

why not just do that, am i missing something

so if i wager 300.00 on a pick 3 and win all 3 races and all the favorites win

how can i lose money??

does the payback on a wager only bring back your winnings or is your bet amount in as well

example,my balance is 300.00

my bet comes to 300.00 on a pk 3 taking every horse in all 3 races

my bets win in all 3 races

the payout is 100.00 due to high favs winning

is my new balance 400.00 or 100.00

100.00 or 50.00 depending if the winning amount is a $1 or $2 bet

I've seen pick3s pay as much as $10,000 and as little as $2.20. So if the $2.00 payout on your pick3 is $2.20 you will get only $2.20 cents for your $300.00. You would lose $297.80. If you bet $300.00 on each pick3 you would most likely lose a large amount of your betting money most of the time.

A Pick 3 or a Pick 4 is a wager on one ticket involving 3 races for a Pick 3 and 4 races for a Pick 4 ticket. The idea is to pick the winning horse in 3 consective races. Most tracks and betting sites the minimum bet is $1.00 for a straight three horse selection. EX Race 2 #5 Race 3 #7 Race 4 #1 Cost $1.00 Ticket reads Race 2 $1 Pic 3 5-7-1. If you pick more than one horse in any of the 3 races, theticket cost is based on a multifier factor... But their is only ONE pay-out amount.

Now if all three horses win their race, on your straight ticket, that ticket is a winner. If any of the horses you have lose their race, your ticket is a loser.

PARLAY BET.....

Pick one horse in any race. Bet that horse and only that horse to WIN or PLACE or SHOW. IF you connect and are able to cash the bet ticket, Select another race and pick one horse.. Put all the payoff money from the first wager on the second selection and hope you can cash in on the second race..... continue on as long as you want as long as you keep cashing the bet in.

Yesterday, I saw a bettor start with $600.00 and parlayed 3 Different races... One race at 3 different tracks and cahed out for $2279.00.
He was betting the $600.00 all on a horse to place (the favorite).. he collected $$$ then put that money on another race all to SHOW. Collected that race then all that money on another race all to PLACE .. He won that race too !

However, I have seen that same guy lose the first bet.

so a parlay bet would be if i parlay the 4 horse to win in race 1. if he wins then i pick a horse in the 2nd race to just place.

100.00 parlay on the 2 horses and all i need is the 1st horse to win in race 1 and if my 2nd horse finishes 1,2 or 3rd in the 2nd race i win?????? and the payout would be factored of the odds right???

no by parlay it means taking your winnings on the first horse and dumping it on the next race....all the way down the line. as opposed to getting your pick 3 beforehand you are playing it race by race. the pick 3's and parlays should run in tandem in a perfect world...ive seen goofy payouts with both methods though
