I have a question for gamblers. Is it wrong or immoral for "gamblers" to bet on the outcome for trials (Scott Peterson) or death dates since books put up lines ? In the same line of thinking do you hope a major player gets knocks out of the game in a sporting event when you have a bet against his team?

i have never wished for or cheered for a player to get hurt since i have $$$ on the other team. sometimes a team steps up when they are missing their big gun. i wouldnt cheer for that anyway, just not that kind of person.

Sherman i agree. I bet and want to win but i want to win mano vs mano. I have never wished another player to be hurt except in their ego. This post was more about trials etc.

I don't know if it's wrong or right. I have never bet on a trial etc but not sure I wouldn't if there was something I liked enough.

I abstain for moral reasons, but then again I didn't vote for 'values' so WTF do I know? ;)

To each his own -- I certainly wouldn't condemn somebody for this.
