Marquette (+6) at Tennessee; many people will say this is a bounce back game for the Vols and how the home crowd will lead them to a win and a cover. I just don't see it happening. J.P. Prince the vols 2nd leading scorer is doubtful with a bad ankle. Also, Marquette is a very solid team that starts 4 seniors and 1 junior so don't look for the Tennessee home crowd to bother them too much. Probably will play Marquette... and will post later if that becomes the case.

Portland (+1) at Northern Colorado; in an under the radar type of game i'm leaning towards Portland. They already have an impressive win over Washington and a pretty respectable win over Nevada. Also hung with BYU in provo. (for a little bit before getting put away late) Also not too much of a home court advantage for Northern Colorado, they only drew around 1,500 for home games last week against San Diego State and Air Force who would probably be bigger draws then Portland. They'll barely be 1,000 people in the stands tonight for this one. I'll look into it a bit more but so far love Portland in this spot..

plays posted later

Tenn very well might cover... but to say "they are deep and athletic" and use that as justification of why they will cover just doesn't do it for me.

and just as Hpatel said... that deep and athletic team sure didn't fair so well against Temple

I feel like the "they are pumped up after the loss" and "the home crowd will be crazy" are statements that a square would make. Give me a break... marquette plays in the Big East and starts 4 seniors and 1 junior. Do you think they have never seen a big crowd before? Plus as College fan pointed out the game is in Nashville not Knoxville. Granted the crowd will still be pro Vols of course, it shouldn't make a big difference. Marquette doesn't/won't rattle easily.

I wish we could get a Prince update. I don't care how deep and talented the Vols are, he will hurt if he doesn't play, help greatly if he does. I can't see betting either side if his status is unknown.

going ahead and making Marquette an official play:

Line has moved down to 5.5 and i'm gunna jump on it before the sharps get in and possibly push it even lower.

Play: Marquette (+5.5) vs Tennessee betting 1.1 Units to win 1 Unit

Season Record = 0-0 (0 units)

I keep hearing the "Marquette hasn't played anyone" argument. Guys, sit back and think about this for a second. This season is what? 9 games old? Marquette starts 4 seniors and 1 junior, these kids have played PLENTY of games against solid opponents. Maybe not this year, but they aren't new to the college hoops scene. They have been playing Big East teams for the last 3 years.

love the portland play and i'm on it too..

Gonna stay away from the other game.. Tenn is not all that great and deep as people seem to think.. But i'm not about to put money on a marquette team that has shown me nothing

Wise man Slim.

A question of who Marquette has played is certainly valid. According to what I wrote down last night when I was looking this game over their strength of schedule was 330! Hell there's only 347 Division 1 BB programs in the nation!?

That said I'm not sold on the Vols either. If Prince is out that is huge, he scores, he dishes, he rebounds, hell he even block shots now and then. I don't think it's a coincidence as a 7 1/2 point chalk Temple drubbed them and beat them straight up. That's been the only game he hasn't played in this year.

Got a team that has played nobody this year versus one missing a key starter for their team the last few years. If there was ever a no play this is the game, about 500 thousand more betting opportunites that are coming along, no need to push it for a game you have to guess on.

My 2 cents, good luck fellows.

Temple had much more motivation in their game vs Tenn, temple knew that this was possibly the best team they were going to play all year and they got them at home. Besides kansas and xavier Temple has no legitimate top 25 opponents on their schedule. Temple handled business that night no doubt but i dont think that was a genuine performance out of the vols. Always BOL whatever side your on
