I just wanted to keep the conversation going because a lot of the guys here won me a lot of money this year.

There's two bets this year that made me want to quit betting forever.

The Under (66 I believe) Wisconsin/Florida St and the Over (52) in Georgia Tech/LSU.

C'mon! There were 0 points scored in the first quarter. It and there was only 10 until the last second in the second before a TD was scored. Then, there were about three defensive TDs by wisconsin. Then, mother ******* Bobby Bowden keeps tossing the ball up in the air late into the 4th quarter even though it was a blowout!!!

The second. 38 points scored in the first half. I go out on New Years happy that one of my biggest plays of the year was a lock. I need just two tuchdowns to push. ... Of course, as we all now... only three points were scored in the second half. Happy New Year!

I am absolutely convinced that I feel that way about every game I lost. I personally feel that every game I lost was a conspiracy involving the referees and the opposing coaches and players. I think in fact they were all fixed by the "Boys". The only reason I won any games at all is that I finally learned to bet against my original pick. I then went undefeated and starting pounding the man with round robins and five teamers. In fact I felt like the guy in "Back to the Future" and started feeling guilty about the success of my "reverse" system.
Seriously, I am never bitter after a loss, hopefully just a little wiser.

Mine takes the cake. I even wrote an article about it "I Got Hosed", I was 10-7 YTD and made my final pick for the year and finished 10-8 YTD when I probably should have finished 11-7 YTD. Just look at the 4th Quarter of the Florida International and Florida Atlantic game. International was getting 4.5 and goes up 14. Then Atlantic ties it up. Then International goes up 14 again. This is all taking place in the 4the quarter. Then Atlantic scores 14 again to tie it up after recovering an onside kick. Next it is overtime. I figure even if I lose 7-3 in overtime then I win because I"m getting 4.5 However, they get the ball first and go up 7-0 so now International needs a touchdown. They don't get it so I lose by 7 in overtime. This is probably my toughest loss ever. Several years ago was my second toughest loss when a team didn't take a knee and fumbled and the other team got a backdoor cover. There was no need to run another play. I guess they were trying to give the backups some chances. However, the Florida International-Florida Atlantic game this year is my toughest loss ever.

I was at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas about 15 years ago, give or take and I had bet a 7-team parlay for $20 to win $2000. I had won the first 6 games and was waiting on the outcome of the USC Notre Dame game. I had picked USC -8. After slugging down a few drinks at a bar in the casino, I stumbled over to the sportsbook to check the score on that last game. Final: USC 23 Notre Dame 17. I threw the ticked away and stumbled back to the bar. Story of my life.

A couple hours later after my buzz had gone away, I looked again at the scoreboard and the final was USC 28 Notre Dame 17. I was too inebriated to see the score clearly the first time I checked -- remember I already threw the ticket away. Of course the trash can had been emptied. Yeah sure I tried to convince myself that I had lost only $20, but it just won't fly.

I will never forget that.

geez, let's not start about "15 years ago" and worst loss ever...we all have some monsters out there. Ball St v W Mich about 5-6 years ago will never leave my brain but, since the thread is about last year, I won't recite

Miami vs. Florida- UM getting 21 if I remeber correctly.

UM looks to be 100% the correct side the entire game. UF is up 9-3 going into the fourth quarter. I went against all my buddies on the bet and am talking major trash at this point. Florida scores one TD, then another late in the game. They are up by 20 points and Miami is punting but there is under a minute on the clock so as long as he doesn't take it to the house we are good. Guy runs it back to the 30 but this is time to take a knee and call it game....WRONG! Meyer has his fucking star QB in the game pounding the ball up the gut. Another drop back pass to the endzone with like 10 seconds on the clock. Finally, scumbag Meyer brings in the kicker to extend the lead. Couldn't believe my eyes at the classless move by Meyer. Sad thing is he would do the same thing to the Citadel. Still pissed about that one...

For college football this season I had the under in that FSU bowl game. It was a fucking joke. Evey 3 seconds FSU was either returning a fumble for a TD, or that piece of shit bowden was throwing deep up huge in the 4th quarter. After watching the first quarter i thought i had a lock.

A few weeks ago in the NBA I had the Toronto Raptors +9.5. They had a 2 point lead with 2:04 to go. They lost by 10 in regulation. Fouled with 1 second left down 9, and could have just run the clock out much earlier down 4-5.

Yeah, krk, I was on that under with you. It's depressing isn't it? You can cap a game for hours, watch games upon games, and nothing can prepare you for some bullshit.

Seahawks / Steeler SB four years ago.
The league and the zebras stole my Seahawk money.
Seattle should have easily covered that game.
